Any suggestions for cool toys for my little one? I'm looking for Christmas gift ideas - she'll be around 3 months then.
I read tons of great reviews of the Baby Whoozit toy and got one for my daughter. She loved it! You can find it at Target's website or on any toy site. It has one black-and-white side for young babies, and the other side is colored for when their eyesight sharpens. It rattles, squeaks - all sorts of stuff. Plus you can hang it on the stroller or let her play with it in the car. =)
The Leap Pad Learning table is a great idea - the legs come off so it sits flat and you can hold your baby and let her look at the colors and the lights and listen to the music it plays while you press the buttons. Once she's crawling, put the legs back on it and she can maneuver around it and explore on her own. My son got one when he was 4 months and had that thing til he was 2! He loved it!

These cups/balls are the best toy ever, Fisher-Price Stack and Roll Cups www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2783732
All of my friends have purchased them for their little ones after a playdate at my house. They are great because they can be stacked to build a tower, snapped together to create 5 different sized balls, plus they are GREAT for travel because they all snap inside the other to take up the space of a softball but open to so much fun!!! My daughter stills pulls them out everyday to play with and we have had them for 8 months and they are less then $10.

The best first toy I bought (although a little early) is the Fisher Price Learning Home.
Once they start to crawl they love opening the mail box and door. Then they grow onto the other things. Its about $100 but lasted us 3 years so a good investment.

I don't know what you already have for toys etc. yet but either a bouncy seat or baby gym were my kid's favorites at that age. Anything they could lay back and bat at, cool stuff to look at for tummy time. There is a mirrored thing that I think is made by Sassy that my daycare had bought and my son loved it so much I bought one for at home. It was only about $12! it is square, has a mirror on it, a squeek toy, a teether ring, something that crinkles, I think. My memory isn't the best since my youngest is 18 mo old so nobody's played with it for a while. It props up or can be tied to a crib. My kids also loved anything that lit up or played music! When all else fails, nothing beats a boppy pillow and a mirror along the floor! Stuffed animals and rattles make great stocking stuffers! Hope I helped some!

Simple is better: nesting cups, a vibrating teether (always a hit!), peek-a-blocks or peek-a-balls, a taggies book (http://www.amazon.com/My-First-Taggies-B...).
It's also a good time to start building a board-book library. A really good author for board books is Sandra Boynton. Also look for DK (the publisher) books - they are great!

Go to fischerprice.com and they have great ideas and you can make a wish list to e-mail to family and friends. It also shows age appropriate toys. My little girl will be 5 months at Christmas and the website was a big help. Hope this helped you in some way. Good luck
