My first was that way! I actually called my mom and said "if the line is there but not really there am I pregnant?" LMAO!!!! And yes...I was, but I thought my mind was playing tricks on me b/c I wanted sooo badly for it to be true and just 2 weeks before it was neg.

Please be sure to keep that thyroid in check! You CAN and MUST take thyroid replacement medication at all times, even when pregnant. It is only replacing what the body produces, it is not introducing anything foreign into the body. It can effect everything. Stamina, mental stability, alertness, etc. I have a slow thyroid and it makes a huge change in my life, and I can tell when the level needs to be adjusted.

It just might mean you are very early in the pregnancy. It happened to me twice and both times I was pregnant. Blood test is most accurate! Good luck & God bless!

Generally the second line, even if it is faint, means a positive result. Test again in 2 weeks just to be sure x

That happens to me with me second child. Who just turned one on the fifth his brother is three I told my self the test was a lie with both lol doc told me different gl maybe a blood test from doc is in order gl

Mine was very faint on test with 2nd baby and 1st test with 3rd baby as i did it early so hormone wasn't strong. Give it a week and try again. Don't worry about the age i have 16 weeks left with 3rd baby and my eldest is only 2 and half you would manage. Good luck. X

Congrats if there is even the faintest line visible during the period of time indicated for the test you are officially pregnant. Hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months. :)

Hi Jennie. I really do not want to alarm you but I thought I should respond only when I saw you mentioned you have an underactive thyroid. When my husband & I started trying for our 1st baby, I fell pregnant real quick. The pregnancy test had a very faint 2nd line but non the less it was positive. When I went for blood test to confirm they also found I had an underactive thyroid & the doctor put me staright onto Eltroxin. However the underactive thyroid delayed featal growth, hence the faint pregnancy line since hormone level was low. Sad to say I miscarried 2 months later since the eltroxin had not kicked in on time. A month later we tried again & fell pregnant quickly while on Eltroxin & glad to say extremely strong 2nd line & a perfectly healthy 5 year old boy. 6 months ago I had another perfect healthy boy, where the 2nd line was also extremely strong. So all I want to suggest is to. Your doctor. My thyroid level was monitored for both pregnancys & eltroxin was adjusted accordingly so that my thyroid levels were correct before both my Caesars. I hope this helps you without alarming you cause glad to see there were also very positive comments from others, so let's hope for the best.

Congrats on baby 3! Youll be fine. The unexpected ones are the best! Lol. Theres a lot of us out here :) my parents had 2 kids and were done. 7 years later while on birth control i showed up and now im the only one of the 3 that helps my parents at all as they have grown older. Its sad to see them neglected by my siblings, but im so glad to know they are taken care of. Only 1 of my 4 kids was planned. It was the older of the twins. We joke the younger was the bonus! And guess what, the "planned" one is my biggest pain! Still love em all to pieces though :) congrats on your growing family!

Yes. My first test was like that. I bought 2 different brands and tried again. If it's early, like you've only missed 1 period, the test isn't as clear. Good Luck! I hope all works out.

That happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. I would be safe and go for a blood test. It usually means a low hormone. Skip the condom, I think they don't work....go on the pill maybe. Good luck. Let us know the result.

Awwwww :) .....i googled some more about false positives n it says cervical cancer n other types of cancer can cause a false positive, also reading the test too late or that the line line could simply be the water mark pod where the test line is meant to appear....i wanna say this sounds like crap but I dunno

With my first, i had negatives up until i was 11 weeks! my second child was very, very, light, almost invisible, but i was preggie with him! Best thing to do is if you suspect, dont trust the OTC tests...go see your doc! God bless!!!!

the second line can only appear if the pregnancy hormone is present, faint or not, the line is there! And you should know, I thought I was done at 3 kids, we now have 6. :)

thank u, ive been so worried. im also 13 days late and my last cycle was just a spot a day for 3 days which happened last time i was pregnant too! also been havin the worst heartburn, daily headaches, my lower abdomen feels tight n tender, a sort of mucus...tmi? n my taste buds have changed.....i kept thinkin everything was stress related or due to my hypothyroidism w no meds for about 5 months but i also had a dream that i had another little boy. im one of those who occasionally sees things b4 they happen but it doesnt always turn out that way. i probly sound wierd but its true...anyway thank u for ur answer. im goin to get a blood test soon, those r usually the only ones that show when im pregnant, thisll actually be my 4th child. my 9 yr old lives w her dad

yep! my first test was like...one and a half lines. took another one and it was positive!
