I looked into my family tree for names, but did a combo of new & old for both of mine. I did a combo of my mom, & mom in law for my daughter, to create Carolyn Rose. (from Carol and Linda). Some girls I've known, sisters & relatives... Tommy Jo, Vanessa Rae, Barbara Jean, Dublin Eyre (Gaelic, say it like air, think I spelled it wrong too)  Arzu Rose (Turkish, like arr-zu) Shanna Leigh.

My daughter's name is Wenona June. There are many ways to spell it but since she is part First Nations we went with the First Nations spelling.

I have 4 kids, 2 girls and 2 boys.

My girls are Nevaeh Grace and Hannah Faith.  (Nevaeh is Heaven spelled backwards; pronounced Na-vay-uh)

My boys are Micah Christian and Josiah Zane.  (Micah is pronounced Mike-uh and Josiah is pronounced Joe-sigh-uh)

As you can see all my kids names have to end with the "uh" sound, lol!

If we had another boy, he would have been Elijah Carter and another girl would have probably been Lillyah Ruth.

I named my daughter Mariah-Krystena Angelina but everyone calles her Ry, Ry-Ry, Riah but my son spells it Ryah when he makes things for her.  It was a nickname that he started, we called her that and everyone calls her that...it just stuck!  We have even considered: Myah, Ryleigh, Isla, Shaniyah but she was named after my favorite singer and the name Mary and Marie runs in my family.  My husband is Marshall and he loved the name too.  I hope this helps...good luck!

I have a little girl name Mariah-Krystena Angelina but the nick name "Riah" stuck with her because everyone calls her that.  My daughter is 3 now and she says her full name but when people ask what her name is, she replies to them..."My name is Riah!"  We were orginially going to name her Ryleigh Mariah or Mariah Ryleigh because the name "Marie" was very popular in my family.  I have even had Myah and Isla (i-la) on my list but I always loved Mariah (after my favorite singer) and Krystena I loved but wanted it different somehow.  I have Michelle and my husband is Marshall, so it stuck.  My son Johnathan nick named her Ry, Ry-Ry and Riah, and it stuck people always have called her that!  (sometimes my son even spells it Ryah when he makes her cards or pictures.)

It's cute but she loves it.

Good luck to you!
