i'm wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get a screaming 8month old baby to sleep! she finally asleep now, she tired herself out! she went to sleep at about 7 for bout hour then woke up screaming uncontrollably, she worked herself up so much she was sweating! she was screamin for bout hour and half - i picked her up to calm her a couple of times but remained in her room! put her back down but started again! tried givin her another bottle but she didnt want much of it! she does this at least once a week! sleeps for bout hour then wakes up screamin! im not sure if she is in pain because she pretty much stops as soon as i pick her up! im also not sure if she has separation anxiety because im back at work now part time - i was getting dressed the other day (not to go to work) and she saw me and started screaming - im not sure if she has anxiety and if she does weather her crying at night is linked to it (I work afternoon shift 4 days so dad is puttin her to bed them nights)! if its the case, i put her to bed tonight (not daddy) and i was the one checkin on her so she knew i was at home!

also she sleeps really really good - she sleeps at least 12 hours a night and doesn't wake before 9am - sometimes she can sleep til about 10-10.30am - so once she is asleep she is fine!

Also is it possible she is waking up from nightmares? can she even have them at this age?

i dont think its colic. my son was like that. i think he was just spoiled and didnt want to be put down. it could be pain, if she's teething. i would tell the doctor about it, just to be on the safe side, but it sounds like just normal baby behavior to me. try warm bedtime baths, singing, stuff like that. good luck!

Sounds like colic, I would put my baby in a swing. Movement seams to sooth a colicky baby.
