Two last suggestions is what IS working for my 2 yr old son. We purchased the "training underwear" found at either wal-mart or Target in the undies section. They are really thick to absorb any accidents, but feel like underwear to get the child use to not relying on diapers. We not only let him wear those all day (except at bed time we have pull-ups), but we make him try to go every hour on the dot. It's worked like a charm. We started 3 months ago, and he is not only wearing regular "big boy" undies ALL day, but he is also starting to get up in the middle of the night so he doesnt make and accident in bed!! Its been great! Good luck on your adventure! Just remember to have patience and stick to a strict schedule! Repetition is the key!!

When my 13 yr old was younger and I started to potty train her I started with pull ups and I didn't feel that they worked that good. They are still very close to a diaper so she didn't care. I had another mom give me an idea when I was at a police function with my husband. When she potty trained their son she used to let him walk around with just a shirt on when they were at home. I thought this was crazy and I told my husband that we weren't going to do that because it would be messy. Well, my daughter turned out to be a little bit harder that I thought, so I got desperate and tried the idea on her. It took a couple of times of going to the bathroom on herself to make her realize that she needed to use the potty because she wasn't wearing those wonderful absorbent pants. Within a couple of weeks she was done. Now we did use a pull up in the beginning at night and if we were going out somewhere. I also did keep the regular training pants at home which you can get at Target and Walmart. Every day I tried them a little more until she got used to it and she only wore those for about a month. My other two daughters were potty trained the same way and my son who is one will probably be done the same.

i have a suggestion. when I potty trained my 1 1/2 year old son i did the half hour technique. every half hour when your baby wakes up put her on the toilet. I just went straight to the toilet so they can get used to it. I put a step stool so he got in the habit. I put an alarm on my phone for 1/2 hour increments. i just put him on there. Before his nap i had him sit on the toilet. when he woke up he went on the toilet. all the way till he went to bed. I didn't put a diaper on him, but underwear so he wouldn't rely on the diaper. He had accidents a few times. It took me two separate tries. The first one lasted 1 week with accidents a few times a day every day (that was VERY irritating and discouraging) the second time- about 2 weeks later he had only 2 accidents within three days. THe third day I said goodbye to diapers! It took me a total of 10 days to potty train him. Girls are pretty much faster at learning, so maybe she'll get it down in a few days, that is if you're a stay at home mommy like I am. Good luck! Let me know if you try it.

We bought some at walmart. They were over in the section with the other children's underwear.
