Are the any supplements to help ADHD?

I have 9 year old son with ADHD. He was put on Ritalin, his behavior and grades got better.. A month ago his doctor said he has high blood pressure and his heart has enlargened some. His grandfather had passed away from heart disease 2 weeks before and there is high blood pressure on both sides of the family. Are there any herbs or supplements I can get because he is not taking medication for it any more. I don't want anything to happen to my son.
