At what age do you think an unborn baby can feel pain and emotions ?

What ever about research or studies i see my unborn baby from a few weeks to birth a human being.I think all unborn babys are human beings and i do believe the feel pain like if being aborted.From what age i dont know so yes it could be possible nothing is felt until the 24th week.I do know before 4mths if i pressed were my baby was she would move and react,she was very active, so she felt me poking her.

To answer your question:

I dont think kt your baby would of felt any pain and i am so sorry for your loss.I cant imagine how you must of felt and my heart hurts for you,The ear your voice by then,the react to your touch when you touch your tummy and the kick to noise like music.The love there dads deep voice and i heard there heart rate rises when the hear there dads voice which is so sweet,Please Dont think your baby felt pain.♥

Is that because they take their first breath? Or because you can 'see' that they are a person? Most people who believe in reincarnation also believe that a soul picks it's parents before birth. If it's not a person before it takes a breath what it is? Just a fetus? A cow fetus? a cat fetus?? No: a HUMAN fetus, which makes it a person. Babies can feel pain and discomfort before they enter the world. Are you trying to say that until a baby takes it first breath it is not human

Of course not emotions are learned reactions to stimuli. Pain is an instinctive reaction not based on a learned emotion such as smiling and laughing are.
An nervous system in a baby human's body is developed enough at 12 weeks to suck their thumb, and at 23 weeks to survive outside the uterus. And they certainly feel pain when they are born that early.
Your post was full of contradictions.

When considering any research, it is important to find out who did the research, who funded the research and consider what kind of biases they may have brought to the table.



I am of the opinion that it doesn't matter if the baby cannot feel pain or have emotion. If they don't, left alone, they will. They are live human beings from the moment of conception. I really like the post about finding one cell of life on Mars as being evidence of life.

Babies born at 24 wks are viable outside the womb so you're information is not accurate. My nephew was born at 29 weeks and is now a healthy 9 yr old so you better check your information.

I have said this before and I will say it again as far as I am concerned a fetus is not viable at 18 weeks or 32 weeks and therefor it is nothing but a parasite feeding off its host. Until I can be pregnant for a week and give birth to a live striving life sustaining baby that is how I feel.

As far as feeling pain I don't believe they can feel pain at 24 weeks. When they play with their feet and other thing within the uterus it is reflexes, nothing more and nothing less.

I've read studies that say that we can feel pain as young as 6 or 8 weeks after conception. I've also heard that because our nervous systems is in the developmental stages our pain is more intense than it is after we are fully developed. However, people who promote and condone abortion will debate this to ease their minds. Personally, I prefer to err on the side of caution and not do anything that might cause pain to an innocent baby. As far as emotion is concerned, I'm not sure.

I think a baby is a human being right from the second of conception and its not long after that that they can feel. At my 12 week ultra sound my son was sucking his thumb. Why would he do that if he couldn't feel anything. Also how would researches know? They aren't the babies themselves so everything they say is just guess work. I think it is just an excuse so that people don't feel bad about having an abortion because they use the scientists opinion that a baby isn't a baby until its past the 24 week mark. This topic really gets me fired up and i'm going to say it straight. If they found one cell on mars they would say there was life and get so excited about it! But a baby starts off as a cell too but just because it might be an inconvenience for some people they say there is no life. At 4 week (even before you find out your pregnant your baby has a heart beat!) How can that not be a living being?? Abortion is murder there is no question about it!

Sorry if this rude but not a person untill birth is the dumbest thing I ever heard. I dont believe in abortion at ALL. As far a research there is more than likely some truth in it but I also look at this way how does anyone know for sure can you put yourself in that place to see what they feel pain or emotion wise. No so no one can ever know for sure what a baby before 24 weeks feel or doesnt.

i think the fetus is a human being as soon as its heart starts beating. once the heart beats its alive. i dont believe in abortion at all. i dont know about the fetus being able to feel pain or emotion so early. but in my eyes its a human and i dont believe in killing or anything like that.

feeling and being aware are different things. I think a baby can feel before 24 weeks. I have a friend who gave birth to a baby boy who was born at 23.5 weeks. He screamed when they put his IV in, he screamed when they shone light into his poor little eyes, he screamed when they had to restrain him.



He lived, he's completely blind, but is an otherwise normal 5 year old now.

Also babies can grab their own feet, hands, penis etc. by that age if they didn't have the sensation of touch, they likely wouldn't engage in this in utero activity so often. You can find research to support any platform, be it abortion or circumcision etc.

They used to think that a baby's first movements were so erratic due to an underdeveloped muscle system, they know now that they are erratic because they are learning to adjust to a world without liquid. Their movements in utero show babies can run, grab, jump etc. at 12 weeks gestation. They can easily bring their hands together in a controlled manner etc. once they are born they must re-learn to do all those things in a different environment.

I personally think that a still born baby feels the loss of life. I imagine they can struggle, and suffer. I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, but that's how I feel. I"m sorry for your loss.

What gets me here is that everyone listens and believes everything they hear on the news. Just because it is "research" doesnt mean it is entirely true. One researcher could claim that a baby doesnt feel before 24 weeks, and then another could claim the opposite.
Stop becoming sheeple to the press and start believing what is in your heart. If you feel a baby is a baby and they can feel, leave it at that. For those who believe opposite that is fine too.

I don't think babies can feel before the first trimester which is why they do think it is okay to do abortions before 12 weeks. I have to say I have to agree. If they have done research and they say not before 24 weeks it could be possible.
