At what age is it alright for babies to use teething biscuits?

I have an early teether. Several people have recommended teething biscuits to me. They say they help soothe their gums and help prepare them to chew early foods and things like that. My son is an early teether, he is 5 months now but he started getting his first two teeth at 4 months. I don't want to get them if he is still too young and won't be able to chew them or anything. I give him teething rings, but I was considering these because it's actually food. Any suggestions on what age I can give my baby teething biscuts?

a solid soother chilled will be safer for a five month old or a chilled damp wash cloth held by mom.

my mum recommended the bickiepegs .. my son is 5 months and on the box is says 6months but i suppose if your keeping a close eye on him its ok

oh i see! well im from australia and the rusks say from 6 months on the packet. they are just made out of bread pretty much but they are hard and babies chew on them to help their teeth. but im sure they are pretty similar to ginger biscuits and things like that. but at 5 months he can start having toast and soft foods anyway :)

if you mean rusks its ok from 3 months thats when the childrens hospital told us to give them to our daughter. we used to put spreads on them for fat though so it wasnt for teething

Thanks for the input! Maybe he will be ok with it because he chews on EVERYTHING he gets his little hands on. I'll just keep an eye on him. Thanks again.

When your baby can hold toys and chew on them, just be carefull to watch the baby the whoe time in case a piece comes off. I put my twins in their swings (not swinging) and put a burp clothe over them like a bib b.c it gets very messy!

I would say if you are going to be keeping an eye on him it would be ok but don't turn your back.He could bite off a piece that he can't chew and he could choke.Also if you do give them to him make sure he is in a high chair or something where he isn't moving,rolling etc. I hope I helped..
