At what age should girls start wearing makeup? And, what should she start with?

I think the other ladies are right about 11 ish and out of primary school is the norm. Young girls going to high school like to wear a tiny bit of eye liner and lip gloss. There is nothing worse in seeing very young girls caked in foundation and blusher it looks ridiculous. You can buy make up for the younger skin from Boots the chemist which is not as harsh on young skin.

my daughter is 15 she has been wearing "lip gloss" accually coloured chap stick since she was about 10 at 12 she got into real lip gloss but it had to be very light colours I got her a make-up kit at 13 with blush lipstick and eyeshadow but she has only been allowed to wear eye liner and mascara for about 6 monthes funny thing is she bearly if ever wears it at all never made it a big deal lol

I let my daughter start at 12 with clear lipgloss, now at almost 14 she wears light coloured lipgloss. I don't allow her anything else. She can wear eyeliner at 15.
My daughter has been taking care of her face since she was 12, cleaning, using a toner and moisturizing. I've taught her how to look after her skin so she doesn't need to cake on the foundation which is a look I really hate, thankfully my girl agrees, so when she allowed her make up will be light. That will not be before she's at least 15.

IMO 12-13, but light makeup, lip gloss and maybe some blush. For full makeup I would say older, like 15-16.
