At What Age Should I Let My Infant Share a Room with His 2 Yr old Brother?

We live in a small townhouse with 2 bedrooms. My husband and I sleep in our bedroom and since giving birth 3 months ago, are sharing our bedroom with our infant son. The second bedroom is his older brothers, who is 2 1/2 years old. The 2 1/2 year old still sleeps in a crib (its not set up as a toddler bed). Ultimately we want the two of them to share a bedroom. We want to set up a twin 'big boy' bed for him and move his baby brother into the crib. Our older boy hasnt exhibited any overt aggression towards his little brother but we totally understand that there is just natural jealousy and resentment about having a new brother. Given this, we are concerned that the older boy could inadvertenly hurt his brother during the night. Thoughts? What did you do? When did you do it? Lessons learned? Help! *thank you! ;)*

I see no reason not to put them together, my girls were always in the same room as I only had two bedrooms. Well of course not when I first brought the youngest one home. but maybe 6 months of age

I put my two together in the same room when my baby was 6mo's and my oldest was 2. I never had a problem. Mine are 18mo's apart and never had a fear of them being together.

Personally I would not feel happy about putting a baby with a toddler overnight. I think if you can wait a little longer before putting them together you will sleep better. May be when your eldest is three.
