Moms please teach your boys how to love and treat women. I know for sure if you teach them how to treat women and tell them it is wrong to cheat they will hear you. I told both of my sons at age 3 if they ever hit a woman I would take thier arms off and to this day they remeber that. My sons are now 30 and 22. I am so proud of them. The oldest one is married and his wife tells me she cannot believe how sweet he is. The baby boy works for our President and has been with his honey since high school. We as women must raise men that know we are Queens because we create life. Please raise loving men and it starts when they are infants.

I would like to join your group. I am 21 weeks pregnant with a boy (crossed fingers). He would be our first out three girls. I am glad we are having a boy, but have no clue on what to expect. Any thoughts of advice would be appreciated.

Hi, I have two sons aged 10 and 8. Both November babies but so very different. My older son is able to do things on his own and spend time on his own but my younger one always needs me or his older brother to feel comfortable with whatever he is doing. We are English but moved to live on the Costa Blanca in Spain in 2005 when they were 3 and 5. They are in Spanish school and have adapted to learning the language a whole lot easier than me and their dad and have a lot of friends of different nationalities. I look forward to reading about other mothers and their sons.

Hi! I have two boys ages 6 and 8. My 6 yrs old son is always determined to get his own way even if we have agreed terms on things. He will find a way to get his way. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to deal with this?

Hi Jennifer,

I am also a "older" mom, I am going to be 44 in July and I have a 23 yr old son and a 4 yr old daughter. I'm gussing it is a lil bit of both. Mine daughter is very high strung !!! but I find my patience is thinner now that I'm older, on those bad days I just try to remember that consistency is key. If I stay consistent in how I disciplain I tend to get better results in the long run.

Hi Jennifer,

I have a 7 year old son who is an only child. He is very sweet but can be quite the handful at times. It seems the worst times are getting him to switch on tasks and listening is always an issue. I would love to join the new group as I am always trying to learn more about raising little boys. My siblings are mostly females with the exception of my baby brother born 12 years after me. I went on to college during most of his rearing. So, I really do not have a strong sense of raising little boys. I could use all the advice that I can get right now. Thanks for starting this group!

I have a 7 year old son (going on 17) and a 5 year old son and I am 44 - guess that qualifies as older! I think my older son gets away with more, but the 5 year old is in one of those stages where he expects us to get him something special every day. I never had to deal with this with my 7 year old, anyone got some good ideas for stopping the "I wants"?

HIya Debbie!

I have the same thing going on with my 3 year old boy. Peeing on the potty or the toilet is no problem, but he will actually wait for a diaper to be on (or even ask me to put one on him "real quick mom") when he has to poop. I heard sometimes pooping can be scary to kids (haha as I have no memory of this beeing scary to myself at that age, I am just going to assume that it's somewhat true)

So if you get THE tip in how to help your boy I would love to know also -)

I have three boys 5,3,1 years old. Sometimes I feel like no one understands me. Maybe because I am a stay at home mom. I love it but boys are too attached to me.

Hi all! I have 3 boys ages 6,4, and 15 months. This group appeals to me because moms of girls just don't get it sometimes. Boys are active, rough, silly but also very sweet sometimes. My boys are no exception! I look forward to learning and sharing with this group. Maybe together we can help each other through these tough years.

Hi, I am a mom to 2 boys, age 6 and 3. They are the best. I have a rather graphic question for anyone who will respond, love to get some advice. Just started potty training my 3 yr old, for the 2nd time, went back to diapers when we moved and we were not progressing. Anyway, he does not seem comfortable pooping on the toilet. Today, for example, he had 2 tiny poops in the toilet and no pooping accidents today. But after putting him to bed in a diaper I noticed he was still awake and a tell tale smell in the room. Sure enough a big poop right in the diaper. I noticed this when I tried to potty train him last summer too. Anyone with a similiar story or experience?

Thanks

I am a mother of one boy who just turned 2 in December. He was born Dec. 13th 2007. His father walked out when I was 5 months pregnant, and since have met a wonderful man who loves my son like his own. I am getting remarried next summer and hope to have more children soon. I just have such a fear that Levi ( my 2 yr old) will be treated differently than other future children. I know everyone says it won't happen because Adam (my fiance) love Levi so much, but I still worry. I just love them both so much and want everyone to be equal.

I am a mother of a 5 year old boy. Since about a month old I have been going threw a custody battle. I love my son with all my heart and am so concerned. Me and his father have different ways of parenting and I know this is hurting my son. At his fathers he has almost everything a child could imagine but at my place it's not about the things you have. He is the only child, I just want to know what I should do or if there's anyone else going threw the same thing?

I have a son Aiden who just turned a year on Dec. 22. He is a pretty easy going boy, as an infant and now into toddlerhood. He is a good eater, loves fruits and veggies. He is struggling a little with textures in real food, but is getting better. He is not walking yet but stands up on everything and cruises. He started crawling later, around 11 months, so I think he is practicing that as well for a while. He is a very smiley boy who truly enjoys life and people!

He wakes up most nights crying and being out of control. I dont know what to do to calm him down or what triggers this - is this normal? Quoting Giuliana:

Hi Jennifer

I have a 5 year old son, if that still qualifies as a little boy. I'm an older mom at aged nearly 44. He is my only child and naturally he gets away with a lot. I'm keen to find other mothers who have Pisces boys born in 2003. My son was born on 10 March with Leo rising. I'd like to compare notes. Or just other 5-yr old boys in general to find out if they're half as difficult as he is. Or maybe its because I'm just older.

I am 42 and have a 3 year old boy he is my only child and has difficult moments too. He can frustrate me to no end but then gives me hugs and kissess at night and throughout the day it makes up for it. I also get to stay home with him because of my home daycare that allows me to spend more time with him in a sense except he has to share mommy with the other kids. Believe me it will all be worth it in the end. Hang in there.

Hey Jennifer

Great grou - I've a little boy (3 years old) who's just the love of my love. He was quite an unexpected gift and wasn't ready to be a mom at the time - but now, I can't remember what my life was like before him...strange how they can just take over ever place in your heart and now can't imagine life without him.
