I'm due in 8 weeks and we still cant agree on a name. We like unique names but not to weird. I want him to be the only one in his class or even school lol with his name. But don't want him to get made fun of either. I love the name Asher, but is it too diff? We also kinda like Acen and both like Jakub..last name is Johnson. Any suggestions?!

Asher is nice. Names are so varied anymore. My son is in kindergarten. His name is Aaron and There is an Ashton and Dakota in their class and no one bats an eyelash over it.

My oldest son's name is Donald. At first I didn't like it however I love it now. It is a great name because it is different but not weird. If you get to original then you end up giving your child an odd name that they have to live with forever. Whatever you name your child they will probably get teased because that's what kids do. Look at old classic names like:
Donald
William
Wallace
Lloyd
Elijah
All different and none of them are weird.

Jakub looks too weird, it is a common name but not a common spelling. I think naming him a name that is not to common is fine, just use a normal spelling so he is not always having to spell his name for people. I think Asher is a good name. I went to church with a boy whose name was Caden and his middle name was Ridge, I like that is sounds good and it is a very uncommon name.

I don't think Asher is too different, I've actually heard that name before. Like Karen I think Jace is a pretty nice name too. I also like the name Mason, Brody or Milo. My son's name is Marques (pronounced Marcus) I think I have a thing with boy M names :)

I quite like the italian names my son is called Lucas he was the only one in his school but he is nearly 9, what about Luca or Lucian they are a little bit unique but not too strange and good solid names for the future .
