Hi I have a 1 yr old that is still on formula she will not drink anything else at all .. and she barley eats anything but her bottles .. I asked her doctor if i should switch her to toddler formula instead of the infant formula shes on and he said there was no need for it to just wean her off formula and put her on milk or leave her on the formula the problem is she wont switch off it and since formula seems to be the biggest part of her diet still im at a loss of what to do .. so would it be in her benifit to switch her to toddler formula because it has the vitimins she needs or just stick with what she has?

Switching formulas sounds like a good idea if she is not interested in cows milk, but she REALLY has to start eating. Some children have little interest in baby foods because they don't like the texture and/or they really want to self feed. You need to make it a priority to get her eating regular food with the bottle only as a drink, not a meal replacement.

Chewing food, actually helps develop the muscles of the mouth aiding in language development. Children who do not progress to table foods may have speech problems and drooling problems. It is time for your baby to become a big girl!

I ran into this with my first. He LOVED his bottles even though he was eating food too. I did switch him to the toddler formula. However, his pediatrician at the time said that it was essentially the same thing. Just repackaged for larger marketing.
