I am wondering if anyone has any name ideas! I am due now with my second little girl. I named my first little one Grace so would like something that would sort of go with that! Also I don't want anything biblical or any names that can be shortened! I know i am being picky but hey i am aloud to be right? If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

Ive always loved the name Emma. It cannot be shortened and its an older name. My two older boys are also named for that reason. My 16 month olds name is Emma Jo. I think the older names are so neat. Grace and Emma could fit together. ;)

I love my daughters name it is Aspen Louise. She is named after the Aspen tree, it is the first growth to come up after a forest fire and it protects other plants. So a soft and yet very stong name.

Hi, Grace is a lovely "old fashioned type" name, I named my daughter Elizabeth, but it has been shortened to Eli, which I don't actually mind. But if I had another girl ( I have a boy of 6 months called Kinno) I would go for something traditional again, like Victoria, Charlotte, something like that, although the problem with them is that they CAN be shortened, whic is something you don't want. How about my name...Amy. It's not biblical, it's not modern, and I haven't found yet anyone that shortens it,unless they want to call me "A".

Anyway, good luck, and hope you find a name you like

What about Ellie or Adelaide? We named our twins Kaylin Elise and Olivia Rose. Their middle names were our maternal grandmothers' names.

Well I named my 4 yr old girl Ryann Marie. Slightly traditional yet rare among girls I think, which is why I chose it. And you know it totally fits her. I really couldn't see her as anything else. Hope you find one you like!

i love names that can be shortened lets the child choose what they want to be know as. :P complete opoisit i no lol

i have 2 girls - kaylah (kay -la) and alexis who we call lexi but when shes older she can decide what she wants to be (alexis ,lexi, alex, lex , al. allie) lol.

i like un -common names . there was always another stacey in my grade during primary school and it drove me nuts being called stacey j instead of just stacey- mia ava are nice but theres always 1 in every grade here in australia. i think no matter what u choose kids and other parents will make it into something different- grace - gracie ect its so hard to choose a good name lol especailly since they have to have it for there whole life. my partner is called danny he hates it! was cute as a kid but now his a professional in a uni it just doesnt suit. he hates it even more when he gets called daniel coz thats just not his name - ppl wont believe him either when he says his name is danny they go oh ok so daniel idiots lol omg i raved on and was no help lol

My daughter is Avery which I love. Carlee or Charleigh are cute. I also like Ryan for a girls name opposed to a boys name. One of my all time favorite girls names is Jane. It is simple and adorable. :-) My suggestion is to have a few names ready and then wait until you meet her to decide...she might look exactly like a name you have in mind. Congrats!!
