I am wondering if anyone has any name ideas! I am due now with my second little girl. I named my first little one Grace so would like something that would sort of go with that! Also I don't want anything biblical or any names that can be shortened! I know i am being picky but hey i am aloud to be right? If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

i say if you like a normal name, spell it different. My daughter is Emaleigh (Pronounced Emily) Cheyenne, just to be different. its really unique and you can shorten it to Ema, thats what I call my youngin. Just a suggestion, changing the spelling is a way of individuality of your child..Hope it helps.

That does make sense however my name is Cynthia and my mother was always the one who would call me by that name so it really didn't make a difference because everyone calls me Cindy and I kind of prefer Cindy rather than Cynthia. I would hate to give her a name that she would prefer to shorten herself... just my thought but what you mentioned does make sense.

Not to sound full of myself but my name is Myriah and my daughters is Bailey. If you want to name your daughter Victoria and are afraid everyone will shorten it then you just always call her Victoria. I had a friend that was Jennifer cause her mother did not want anyone shortening it. You are the mother. Let it be known!

I'll give you my girl's names but the two oldest are bible names, Ruth and Rachel. For the next one we went with my husband's great-grandmother Alma Louise but Alma is such an old-fashioned name that we also call her Allie, my great-aunt's nickname. My sister likes the sound of Allie Mae and I actually know someone who named there daughter that. Our youngest is Leela, my husband wanted the French word for lilacs which is lilas but we didn't want people mispronouncing it so we went with the phonetic spelling. It also happens to be a Sanskrit name that means sport/play. My niece is named Charli (yes it is said with a ch sound and not a sh sound). I like Jane Austen so some names from her novels are Emma, Jane, Lydia, etc.

Thank you all for your wonderful name ideas! I have started a list! Keep em coming! I will definitely run them past my bf and see if he likes any! He already has Grace tattooed on his arm and plans to tattoo our new daughters name on the other arm as well. Looking forward to more ideas! Thanks again!

My daughter's name is Liliana and I shorten it to Lily. I have a couple of ideas for our next daughter (hopefully!)....Samara or Cadence. Maybe Calais (pronounced Cal-lay). Good luck choosing one!

my daughter ir two and a half and i desperately wanted Grace. only i had a two year old son named will! and i just couldnt have will and grace! so i named my daughter Piper Grace! just adorable, its not a name that is shortenedn easily. its individual and just like grace suits a baby a little girl a teenager a woman and an elderly woman.

I have 2 girls so far they are called Chloe Mikaylah and Eliza Maelie. We plan to have one most child and if we have a girl we would like to call her Audrey Louise.
These names come to mind as suggestions Charlotte, Olivia, Jane, Macy, Lisa, Bree, Brianna, Alice, Lacey. Don't know if this helps, but good luck with finding the right name :)

I like old names but think of new ways to spell them. Many letters sound the same but are diff. That is what I did with my kids.

For some reason, I always think of Paige or Claire when I hear the name Grace. I really like all three of those- especially because they are one syllable! (I don't like names that can be shortened either. Good luck!
