My hubby & I are expecting our 2nd child in Nov. We do not know the sex. We are trying to get a list of names together that we agree on, so we can choose when we meet our baby in person :-) Our daughter's name is Ella. My husband likes more classic names, as do I but I don't want to choose a name that's too popular or trendy. When we named Ella, it wasn't as popular as it is now, plus it's a family name. Having more trouble w/ boy names. Could use any ideas, opinions. Thanks!

I have two little girls Delaney Rae and Rylee Renee. But for boys names I like unusual but cute I've always liked Deacon,Oliver and Drake. Oh and my husband thinks I'm crazy, but if we have another girl(someday) I love the name Piper or Raven.

Quoting Rosalyn:

Can i just say tho all the names above are really lovely , having grown up with an unusual name was totaly horrible for me , ive always been the only Rosalyn where ever i went to school and now at work ,
i know parents want to be the ''only one'' with that name and want to show off with something unusual but sometimes for the child its realy truly horrible !!!
kids can be so nasty and if you are different either by name or other wise that can make your life a misery like mine was ,
my mum thought she was being different and clever picking a name no on knew but its been the bane of my life , not only was it twisted in to many different versions no body could spell it , let alone say it properly ,
now im older i can take the comments but as a child i was shy and nervous and any attention i received over my name was very unwelcome by me i can tell you !
so just have a think about the effect your name will have on the child please ,

We've got a friend called Vivan (Mixture of Vivian and Ivan) and he's worked out that he'll spend a total of FIVE years of his life explaining and spelling his name.....!

I am the mother of 4, I have 1 daughter that I named Marika Danielle (pronounced Mu reek u) and 3 sons that I named Christopher Cody, Logan Nathaniel, & Zane Michael.

Other names that were considered were:

GIRLS:

Madison Rose

Lauren Bianca

Zara Michelle

April Antonia

BOYS:

Benjamin

Donovan

Peyton

Aaden

Dawson

Dalton

Quinn

I always tried to give my kids names that you don't hear often, my daughter Marika is 17 now and I still don't hear it that often, and when I do it is not pronounced the same. I hope this helped...and congrats

My hubby and I both made a seperate list of boy and girl names we liked. Then we sat down and compared them. We choose the name we both liked.

I used to like Natasha Renee for a girl. And our plans for a boy are Tristan. Liam is cute, one of my friends named her son Liam and then another named her's Griffin. I've seen Aerian, that's cute. Justin, Christopher, Robert, Kevin, Levi, Leon, Levon, Jon, Jonathon, John, William, Joshua, Paul, Hunter, Ryan?

My youngest son's name is Bryson Lucas. Lucas is a family name, but Bryson was a name that I heard on the radio one day at work and really liked it. You hear Bryce a lot around where I live, but never Bryson.

My sons name is Zackary. I haven't heard it to often but love it! He's the only Zackary on both sides of the family. If we were to have a little girl she would of been Madeleine (french pronunciation).
