Hi! I'm Rita and my husband's name is Daniel. We have two angels, Daniel Jr. and Delilah. We're expecting another bundle of joy in the winter and want to keep up with the "D" theme. Can you share some names that start with "D"? We don't know if we're having a boy or a girl so suggestions for both are welcome!

Thanks moms!

Why don't you have your next son or daughter's name start with "R" to go along with your initial?! Just a thought...how about Riley, Rose, Rebecca, Raelyn or Ruby for girls names; Ryan(my personal fav), Riley, Reagan, Rheese(or Reece), Ronan, Royce...etc
Check out this site, and just enter the letter you prefer your baby's initial to be, and voila, you get tons of choices!

No offense...but why are people suggesting Danielle for a girl when the husband & son are named Daniel. Don't you think that would get confusing and tongue tied?!?!

I've got a Deanna, my middle name is Dinah, and a best friend's little girl is Danica. Judging from your and your kids' names it sounds like you prefer more traditional names spelled "correctly", yeah? If so, here are some other options:

BOYS:
Douglas
Derek
Devlyn
Dante
Damian
Dominic
Declan
Daylan
Dorian
David

GIRLS:
Deanna
Diane
Diana
Dinah
Danica
Dora
Dolores
Daria
Darla
Davida
Dana
Daphne
Darcy
Deidre

...good luck and congratulations on #3! :)

I wish there was an "unhelpful" button for the the reply "I don't like it when all the names have the same initial". If you haven't a constructive reply don't run down parents' choices for something as harmless as matching initials. There are bigger fish to fry, have some class and keep a respectful silence on the critiques she never asked you for and are no one's business but hers and her husband's. Anyone who has been pregnant and has been criticized for their child's name choice knows how shitty it feels.

We wanted to stick to the "D" names as well. My husband is Darin. His 2 boys are Drew & Dustin. My son is Devin. Plus we wanted something unique for our son, so we chose Deagan (pronounced Deegan).

My name, btw, is French and indicates a follower of Dionysus. Not like we're surprised to see French, wine, and that god in the same name!

I'm Denise. Of course I'm partial to my own name, but my nephew is Deven, my sons have the middle names of Donald and David, and I would have had my youngest as Daniel if I had my way (husband won his--Erik David). I'm a fan of SG-1. :)

My favorite Girl name with a D is: Dresden. I went to school with an amazing girl (smart, beautiful, creative, talented) named this, and I always liked it. It is unique for a girl's name as well. So everyone won't have it.
My favorite Boy name that starts with a D is: Daxton (Dax)

My granddaughter is 2. Her name is Delaney. When I was a little girl I loved the name Darla. That was the name of the little girl on The Little Rascals TV show. I had a close friend named Diana. My name is Delores. In my church I have a friend named Debbie, but her given name is actually Deborah. I like all of those names starting with a D. --Delores J. Mercer

My 20month old is Dexter! I really wasn't sure about it at first but it grew on me very quickly. My parents were furious at me actually...but now, I couldn't imagine my Dex as anyone else
