I was wondering if there are any baby proofing products out there for heat vents on the floor. My daughter wont leave them alone. If they are out there, what stores sell them?

Thanks!!!

You can use the poster mounting tape "its feels like clay" and put mesh under the vent and stick the mesh to the vent and the vent cover to the floor.

I also forgot the metal cover for metal vent to use them on plastic vents I would just use the double side and tape them down. I would only buy for the ones that she is playing with. To remove the tape later off the vents use goo gone its sold also at the hardware store and it wont damage the vents and wash them later with soap and water.

What is she doing with them? If she is lifting them out of the floor you can double side tape them down. If she is putting things in them for metal one there is a cover to block air flow it is like a magnet she might have a hard time putting something down them then but you will have no heat or cool air flow through those vents. Most hardware store sell these things. Look in the vent area for the block vent cover. Double sided tape is in the tape area. If she is just dropping items down I also have placed a thin bounce sheet inside the vent cover to catch the items or you can purchase a sheet for this at the hardware also.

My son dropped my husbands new cell phone down the vent thank god my old sons friend had skinny arm so that we could get it out before it dropped to the next level of the air duct. The vent are all taped down now and he has never gone back to them again. As for a REAL baby proofing product I have never heard of one and I work in a hardware for 8 years before I had my son. One thing I still had to do with my son is every time he went to the vent I had to talk him away from the vents and play with other toys he did this when he would get bored which wasn't to often usually when I was making super.

Hope this helps.
