It is pretty normal.M y daughter started eating solid food at the age of 8 months onwards. Like bananas. roti, chicken with potato, cookies with milk, cereal of semolina with chicken stock

It is completely normal! Even if you think he is not getting enough to eat just don't stress it. Just always leave finger foods around so that he can help himself whenever he wants them. If you force a child to eat it is more than likely to lead to obesity later in life so just remember to never force him to eat.... My daughter had a bad stomach virus after she was a year old and her eating habits changed alot. she went from eating every meal to hardly eating anything. we were so worried about her that we took her to the doctor several times, but they kept telling us the same thing.. dont force and make sure she gets plenty of fluids but leave finger foods out for her. so we did and she did just fine. she is now 3 years old still doesnt have much of an apetite but its just a faze they go through. Just get excited with what is going on around them. He will grow out of it. Just let him snack when he wants to.

Finger foods are fine. You can turn a LOT of regular foods into finger foods. My son wasn't eating food on a daily basis yet at that age....

My son was eating table foods by that age. Things like soft veggies, fruits, yogurt, cheese, pastas, and breads. As well as oatmeal and such.

Why are you still trying to give him pureed foods? Does he not have any teeth?
