I saw this in another community and thought it would be fun to see what everyone's baby's first words were, and how old they were when they said them!
My son Nathan's first word was poo-poo lol and he was about 10 months old.

My 9-mon. said Mama, with about 5 mama's in 1, around 4 months. He now says Mama, baba(bottle, go figure!) & bye-bye.
My 3-yr's first word/s was "Titty-tat"(kitty-cat). Then, baba, mama, dada. He talks almost constantly now!!! Hahah, makes my ears hurt sometimes!

My daughter's first word was "duck!" lol. she had her favorite stuffed animal (a duck) and she forced out the word haha!! she was about 11 months

My daughters first word was good at about 3 months old. She then said hi, thank you and luv dadda at 6 months old and now at 7 months old also says momma.

My oldest's first word was mama, but not in an, "oh that's so sweet" way, no. She yelled "MAAAMAAA" at 5 months old. My middle child had dada down I'd say at about 7 or 8 months. Then came mama very soon after dada and then Aurora at about a year- his older sister. Number 3 switched around mama and dada (compared to her brother) and then was saying Aurora as well, and she was saying all that around 6 to 7 months.

Sophia said mummummum alot but it was never directed at me lol.. It was always when she wanted something. But at 8months she clearly said Daisy , which is my boyfriend's parent's dog name.

My daughter first said "Guh?!" Almost in a question for at 8 Months, then she quickly moved on to dada and mama. She doesn't say "Guh?!" anymore, but it was adorable how she said it!

My oldest said Hi at 2 months, my next one said dada at 4 months, my next one said no at 4 months and my last one said dada at 2 months (shes a daddy's girl).

my sons first word was mama at 3 months old then at 4 months old dada and after that at 5 months hi and pretty much stuck with those words until 8 months when my mom taught him to blow kisses and say muah now at 10 month he says no no no muah hi bye dumb mama dada and just walks around yelling that all day until a week ago when he learned ball! we were int he store and he saw a watermelon and called it a ball and everything that starts with a b is now ball!

My daughter is 7 months and says mumumumum but it is clearly directed at me or showing that she wants me.
My son I think was dada.
Donna Herrington - a girl I worked with adopted a little girl from China, they didn't know she could talk until they went to a chinese restaurant and the chinese waitresses told them she kept saying (in chinese) that she was hungry!

my little girls first word was 'baa' when she was about 9 months old because we has sheep in our garden! She also called me 'babe' for about 8 months because thats what her dad calls me!! lol

my daughter started saying mama and dada the same day! we then realized she called mama when she was hungry or wanted a clean diaper and dada when she wanted to play, she turns 2 next week and well dada is now daddy and im just mom, she also says tickle,bye,baby,hey you,nana, papa,ouch,ew,and can sing the theme song to Wow Wow Wubzy!

one of my daughters first words was no...and she also say now...she was about 9 months...shes 3 1/2 now and doesn't stop talking...my son is 5 months and says momomomomom when he wants held and tries to say here for when he wants a toy...

At 7 months my son yelled "NO!"
When my daughter wasn't quite speaking yet, she would say "Da" for Dad and "Dada" for Patrick. - see one has one syllable and the other has two.
When she finally spoke she said, "more."

My daughter's first words were Boba (meaning her grandpa bob) and Mama, she said them so close together i'm not sure what was first...between five and a half and six months.But i swear she was saying mmm yum at five months when we started feeding her cereal, nobody believes me though!

my Keiran (now 5 and a half months) first said "mi-mi" for mommy and milk, he just turned 4mos then....I always ask him before nursing "want mommy? mi-milk?"...and so whenever he wants to feed he'd go "mi-mi"...lately, he's been saying "da-da" and "dee-dee" a lot when he wants to play with his dad.

My little man said "hi" first around 5mos, few weeks later it was "hi dada" whenever he saw his dad and now at 8mos he says Hi da-da, Da-da, Ma-ma, Nigh-nigh when he is tired, Mo-mo when he wants more to eat and daw when he sees a dog!

My son's 1st word was Mama at 7mo old, but his 2nd understandable word was CAR at 8 1/2mo old.. And still now at the age of 2 1/2 yrs old, those are his obsessions, in that ranking!

My son's first word at about 7 and a half months old was "da..da" = "dag" in Dutch means " Hello and Goodbye"

My daughter, Angie (who is 16 now), said her first word at about 15 months. My husband just came home from work and walked through the door, and when she saw him she pointed and said "Jeff!" (which is his name). LOL!

Mines was bubba and mumma together. nothing else yet but no one seems concerned so I am waiting. He points to things a lot and screams a lot to make noise. He is 1 currently.

"Coke"....that was my 11-month old boy's first word, he called me Coke instead of Momma because he always hear me asking for my Coca-cola can every dinnertime.

My sons first word was Mama at about 4 1/2-5 months, he would scream it sometimes! After that came dada at about 5-6 months!

My sons first word was mama followed by Dada, Hola and Aqua. He is with grandma all day who speaks spanish to him, Dada speaks english to him and I speak German to him. My child will be good at all languages after he is not all mixed up about it anymore....lol

Myn son is 10mo old now, but when he was about 7mo old his first word was "patty-cake" and he said it just as clear as could be!
Since then he has added a few more like Mamma, Dada, Ninni (he says this when he wants to nurse), Bubba (for his big brother).

My daughter was born on the 3rd of July and her first word was Hi on Halloween day to her Mammy (grandma)..and her 2nd word was mama about a week later. Now at 10 months she is starting to put words together and she said mama ba-ble..which is her version of bottle...so i was pretty shocked..didn't think she'd come up with 2 words that quickly..lol

My daughters first word was at 5 months "Up" followed the next day by Hi, Bye and Ab (for Abby our cat). Mama and Dada we like her 9th and 10th words...so annoyed that she said the cats name before Mama!

My daughter's first "clear" word was baby. She said that around 8 months since my sister just had a baby at that time. Its was pretty sweet.

*~*~* FOUL LANGUAGE ADVISORY *~*~*
For those of you who think your babies aren't listening....
Well, my oldest daughter is now an adult, and her father had quite the potty-mouth when she was a baby.
At 4 months she started to say "Dada", followed by "Fuck-em" at 9 months old - I was MORTIFIED.
After that, he watched his language around her.
She said it for a week before I could get her to stop. then a couple of weeks later, she finally started to say "Mama". Yikes.
There's proof to watch your language around your babies!!!
