fill a bottle full of something soft..like cotton balls or marshmallows n' make em' guess how many are in it...also get a serving tray, put several baby items on it..have the mom to be walk around the room and show it to everyone...then have mom leave the room and ask what mom was wearing..lol..also have write down as many items from the tray as they can remember..Play the game where everyone gets like 6 safety pins and if the do something like cross their legs or say baby or something then they have to give up a pin..person with the most pins wins. Have everyone guess the weight that mom was when she was born, ect...mom's stats..and see who is closest. Have them be blind folded and take regular uncooked rice and put tiny safety pins in it..give them a time limit to see how many pins they can get out of the rice in the allotted time frame. Fill a diaper bag full of baby related items..tell the people how many items are in the bag, but don't let them see what they are..and then have them guess...pull them out one by one and let them see the stuff...one with the most correct guesses wins..also you can do a game where the ladies have a list of things one might have in their purse..lotion, clippers, a sewing needle, sanitizer, kleenex ect..and see which person or table has the most items..you can also do the pass the pacifier game..have the first person put he pacifier under their chin n' pass it to the next person without using their hands..and on down the line of like 5 or 10 people..the team that gets it done fastest wins. ...I went to the dollar store in my local town to get stuff...decorations and prizes alike...Candles, body wash/soaps n' lotions and bath salts or bubble bath or bath fizzy balls, candy baskets ect..picture frames n' believe it or not, i had a friend make home made wash clothes and dish towels and that was a huge hit at my friends party..everyone wanted to win them..lol..all easy and fun ideas..It doesn't have to be expensive..just little things...and if you know someone who sells candles or something, see if they have outdated stuff that they are willing to donate..I had a co worker that had a salt city candle business on the side and she donated a melting pot and some melting tiles for the shower cuz they were clearance/last seasons stuff. Also I made some home made peanut butter cookies and some baby shaped sugar cookies and iced them, and handed them out to everyone there, that way no one left empty handed and that was inexpensive and easy...I did the whole shower on about 30 bucks and everyone had fun...the place to have it was donated by my friends church at no charge, but you could always see if your workplace would let you have it there or if the weather is nice, have it at a park..If you know someone who makes cakes well, ask them to decorate a cake for you...I had a friend do it and I told her I would pay for it, but she did it for free as a gift to the mom to be...I hope these ideas helped...Good luck..showers are lots of fun...

Here's a cute one...fold kleenex to make look like diapers. Mark one with "poop" with either mustard, a smashed pea or just a yellow marker. (You can dot them with glue to hold them closed.) Have each guest pin one on when they arrive. Before mom gets ready to open her gifts, have everyone take them off and open them up. Whoever has the dirty diaper wins the prize!

Well, at my baby shower, we had guess the size of mommys tummy when you take messurments and whoever is closer wins. We have a who knows mommy best when you ask questions about the mother. Whoever knows the most wins. "deliver the baby" is my favorite... you get little tiny babys that you can find at a party city or any party store. put then in ice cube trays and fill with water.. then when time for the game you give each guest a ice cube in a bowl and they can melt the ice anyway but biting it(itll hurt the baby)... whoever melts the ice first (delivering the baby) wins...

As for prize ideas, it doesnt have to be anything big... candles are always a free be, every woman loves candles lol. little pink or blue note pads, depending on what the mommy to be is having. Hair accessories... little gift bags

I hope this helped a bit! Good luck hun!

At my shower one of the games was a tiny jar filled with safety pins. They had to guess how many were in the jar. Prizes can be candles, gift certificates, body wash sets. I found a TON of ideas where i went on yahoo and typed in baby shower ideas, also on babycenter.com there was lots of ideas.

ok these might seem gross but they are real fun.

1. get 6 diapers and 6 different choc bars melt them into the nappies and write numbers 1-6 on the diapers and the ladies at the baby shower have to taste each choc from the nappy and write down on a piece of paper what they think it is

2. a quiz about the expecting parents see how much their friends know about them. for every question they get wrong they have to eat a poo from the potty. know you need a potty and some orange juice and some fun size picnic bars. its a great laugh a friend of mine had those games at her baby shower and they were alot of fun

hope that helps

Another thing to remember is only pick 2 or 3 games...they take alot of time, and often people leave when mommy has just started opening presents....that way you can give better prizes as well...and a door prize (# under a paper plate) is always a quick one!

One of the funnest games I ever played was A TWIST to the usual guess your length of toilet paper that would equal mommy-to-be waist and then the hostess comes around and measures to mommy's piece but tells you TO KEEP YOUR TP and make a bow out of it!!!! Then they pass out the scotch tape and each person takes their bow and one by one goes in the center and attempts to stand legs apart and with their hands/bow reach between their legs and stick the bow the highest on their butt....so FUNNY to watch!!!! Another one is to buy 10 little baby items from a random place like Walgreens and then everyone guesses the cost of each item...to the penny, and the most wins! (obviously you can't go OVER the $)

For my baby shower my mother got lil gift certificates for ice cream at a ice cream parlor and then since it was summer we gave out little flowers with a peom about mothers...and for games one of them was we had ppl get in partners and have one of the person wrap toilet paper around the other person like a diaper and then someone judge which diaper looked the best...and another one was each person to have there shoes untied and had to blow a ballon up and put it under there shirt like they were pregnant and have them bend over and tie there shoes with out poppin the balloon and see who was the fastest

at my showers we had several games...

1. we put different candy bars into diapers (i bar per diaper) and melted it in the microwave...then made people guess what candy bar they were.

2. put rice and safety pins in a bowl together...then hold the bowl above the guests heads and make them get as many safety pins out in 30 seconds (its a lot harder than it sounds!)

3. we also had everyone drink apple juice out of a bottle!

as far as prizes...at most showers i have gone to the prizes are a candle or lotion for the winners...and there is usually a present for the mom to be too (something little like baby bottle brush or binkies).

good luck!!! baby showers are lots of fun!!!

Yes the toilet paper one was another game. People had to ripe a strip and wrap it around me and the person who was the closest won

Have a race and see who can drink a 2 ounce bottle the fastest. Use toilet paper to measure the mommy's belly and the guests guess how many sheets it will take. Hallmark and Party City sell books containing premade games. Candles or stationary make nice prizes.

Hmmm....we are in the middle of planning my bff's baby shower but she isn't really into games so we are only playing one.

Every guest gets a clothes pin at the beginning of the shower and they pin it on themselves. Pick an amount of time (say 45 mins) and if you hear someone say baby you get their pin. If someone has more than one pin when you hear them say baby you get all their pins. Whoever has the most pins at the end of the time gets a prize. We are making gift baskets for the prizes for that game and are going to have 2 baskets in case of a tie or else the top 2 will each get a basket.

When I had my baby shower I was tooking for games and found a couple I thought would have been funny but nobody agreed with me so they were out but I will share them with you because your group may have more of a sense of humor lol

Pick a few different jars of baby food and take pieces of cloth put a little baby food in each piece of cloth fold to look like a diaper. Be sure you know what kind is what (mark them with different colored markers maybe) pass them around to all the guests and have them guess what kind of baby food it is by how it looks and smells. Whoever gets the most right wins a prize. You can give the top 5 a prize or however you would like to do it.

Get a few different kinds of baby food remove the labels and anything that identifies what kind it is. Mark them somehow though so you know. Pass them around to all the guests and have them guess what kind it is by smell, looks, taste, ect. The guest with the most right gets a prize. Or the 3 with the most right get a prize, however you choose.

As for what to give as prizes. Every shower I have ever been involved in we have always gotten inexpensive little gifts but tried to keep it practical things that people would use. Some ideas are sample size hand lotions, small jar candles, magnetic note pads for on fridge, date/year planners (pocket calanders), mini bottles of hand sanatizer, sample size body wash, or photo frames (4x6). Good luck and I hope these ideas help.
