I need a baby shower gift for a lady at church (not a close friend) who is having twin boys. I could just get diapers (I know she'll need a lot of those!) or something traditional, but just wanted to ask mothers of twins if there were any "lifesavers" that they would recommend, that maybe no one else will think of, or the mom-to-be doesn't even know to ask for.

thanks so much! our church will do meals for the family for a week or two, so I think everyone seems to agree on diapers!

I loved the frozen home cooked meals. My twin boys are 2 1/2 weeks old now and we have not yet made a meal of our own! The diapers come in handy as well.

I have twins and i appriciated the diapers alot!! a gift card to a favorite restaurant is also nice along with an offer to babysit on the nite the parents go out!

I would say bigger diapers or bigger clothes. I know as a mom of 1 child I wish I would have gotten bigger clothes

I agree with diapers. From experience we were given so many newborn and size one diapers and the babies grew so fast we had lots unused so maybe a couple packages of size 2-3's and a couple packages of wipes. Also if the mother is choosing to formula feed find out what kind she would go with and purchase a few cans. Bedtime lotion, Bedtime bath, some towels and a few toys. My favorite is the Graco Sweet Slumber Sound Machine to distract from everyday household noise.

I don't have twins but one thing you need alot of is diapers. You could do a really cute diaper cake(made with diapers and other baby needs-ie baby wash,bibs,swaddling blankets,rattles and pacifers). I know that would've been something I would like if I got that.

One thing I know any mother would love are diapers, diapers and more diapers. They are going to go through alot with twins. And swaddling blankets. they work wonders.

Meals. Precooked meals that just need baking or reheating!! OMG even after one baby thats what I wanted!!
