Okay, we all know what they're SUPPOSED to be used for: wiping our cutey-patooties' patooties! But, what other fascinating things have you found baby wipes to be useful for? Personally, I have discovered they:
Take crayons off of walls
Take blood stains out of clothes
Remove make-up without irritating my face

So what do you use your wipes for?

What don't I use them for? That would be a much shorter list. I use them to wipe my kids hands and faces, clean the inside of my car, clean my bathroom, clean restaurant tables....really ANYTHING. I do not know how I survived without them.

I'll have to try the crayon off walls thing :D
I've used them to mop up spills at restaurants, clean honey out of hair, and clean sticky fingerprints off dvd's.

I got a chance to work in a factory that made the baby wipes. Our hands would get this dark junk on them after a shift or during a shift before breaks. We found that they worked well on this dark greasy junk.

I used to use wipes for the kids faces and hands, to wipe off the kitchen table or counters in a pinch, to wipe off a greasy cup my kids had used so it would not slip out of hands again, wiped off the tray on the stroller, wiped noses when there were no tissues close by, used for hand washing in places that I thought were otherwise unclean enough to not use their sinks, and for just about a lot of other things. When my son was older that one, he would love to stick out his tongue when I cleaned off his dirty face to lick the wipe as I cleaned his face. I would tell him gross...he would laugh and do it again. Wipes are just really versitile.

Well I have to say one of my favorite things for my daughter to suck on was her huggies natrual care baby wipes....not that I let her per say, but she always wanted to do it and yelled her head off when I tried to take it away.... so I let her suck while I changed the butt... she is now 3 years old and she is fine. :)
Babywipes are great for many things and one item I would not like to live with out.
They are also great for adults bottoms too! We have them in every bathroom.

I leave them to dry out and they make fantastic dusters! The static from the material picks up all the dust. Perfect for flat-screen televisions and computer monitors. And also cleaning my tiled floor in the hallway 3 times a week.

They're not powerful, they are just always with us. The huggies wipes I use, I would gladly suck on, and have my kids suck on if I was stuck in the desert with just my kids and my baby bag.

I've used baby wipes in all of the areas mentioned already including my grandchildren-cutey-patooties' patooties! ;-) What I say to my daughters is 'if' these wipes are sooooo powerful to clean stains from clothes, walls, bathrooms, etc.. - what are they doing to our little darlings 'patooties'? Could pose a danger later in life!!??!! My dermatologist says "never put on your skin anything you wouldn't put in your mouth"!

I'm in the army, and in the field when there aren't any showers, we use baby wipes to clean ourselves. They also work really well for cleaning M16s and M4s.

I didn't see anyone say paintbrushes. AND IF I remember correctly "babywipes" were originally called something like wet ones and therefore were not necessarily just for patooties. Also use for all of the aforementioned uses and also for avoiding attack soap dispensers that are heavily perfumed and cause hives or exzema reactions in public or other peoples bathrooms.

I have a lot of physical problems including yeast infections under my breasts and stomach. I can't take a normal bath or shower so I use the wipes for a "sponge bath". Otherwise I.........stink! Also, there used to be some called Chubs (don't know if they still make them or not), which I found out to be wonderful if I had a sunburn. By the next day the burn would be gone and I would look tanned. Especially good after sitting & watching my son play Little League Baseball.

well we put a new floor in the house and the hubby was gone i decided to move the house around. since i am preggers again i cant really lift anything. well the moving ended up scratching the floor and i had no idea what to do. my DD ended up spitting up all over the floor and i used a wipe to clean it up and when i did that the marks pretty much where gone. so i used a couple on the scratches and no one noticed i ruined the floor haha so now i use them to do random house cleaning like on the counters the floors and such to really scrub. also use them too cool off on super hot days like it has been the past couple here!!

I use them in the at-home dry-clean bag (Dryel) instead of buying the real cloths you're "supposed" to use. They work just the same except for the scent -- I think the wipes smell better...

What is this about baby wipes being harmful??? Guess what, everywhere I look I find something new that is "harming" my child. If I believed everything I read, (even in some "studies") and heard, my child would live in a bubble. But then, someone would find something wrong with the bubble, and we'd be completely screwed. Just sayin.

I use them for just about everything above including makeup removal (although I found that Pampers sting my eyes, but Huggies don't). I think one of the greatest uses is for wiping restaurant tables/chairs and more importantly public toilet seats! They are great for stains and cleaning suede or leather shoes. I will carry baby wipes for the rest of my life! :-)

They are also good for taking the gas smell off of your hands at the gas pump. I have also used them for wiping my families eyes when there is an infection going around.

-wipe carpet after food spills

-clean trash can lid

-wipe restaurant high chairs (which otherwise may have more germs than a public restroom!)

They dry my hands out so I can't over-use them.

My sister has pets, no kids, and she uses them all the time too!

Glad to also know there is only one kind of baby wipe out there. Not all are full of crazy chemicals, juliann. There are companies taht make chemical free. Heck, I've made my own with paper towels, a tupperware bread saver, and water, and a bit of soap.

STILL used them for everything. wiping down table, counter, stovetop, car surfaces, my armpits.....they're great for anything if you don't want to use a thousand washcloths in a day.

"Well everyone is entitled to their opinion. I know what kind of cleaners I need to use to do all the things listed. Hmmm...maybe everybody should go read the skin deep's database on what these ingredients do to you and even more so to baby. It's time people opened their eyes. The effects of these chemicals were last tested by the FDA 33years ago. Now the long term effects are appearing. So use those baby wipes with a little more thought !!"

So, yes, it IS your goal to make other mothers feel bad for using baby wipes. Good to know.

baby wipes are awesome to put in a care package for someone deployed or taking out to the field or camping when you know a shower just isn't gonna be possible. I also keep some in my car for emergency clean ups (car, face or hands) away from home.

I also use baby wipes to remove makeup. We keep a container on the backs of all our toilets, to use when needed. I carry them in my purse to use to wipe up sticky tables when we're out, and whenever you'd like to wash your hands but nothing is handy. Also, with the kids playing baseball, it's always nice to have something to clean up after using porta-potties (shudder)!!!

Huggies baby wipes are great AND they're made in America (not sure about some of the other brands). I always keep a tub in my car for spills, sticky hands, etc. They're also great to keep handy around the house for any type of quick clean-ups!
