my 10 month old will only eat sweet food nothing savoury. He will also only eat smooth food, nothing with lumps. If i give him finger food he just chokes on it. Any ideas???

You have to remember, that if you breast fed your infant, the milk is sweat. Babies start out with sweat tasting milking. Taste buds change when people get older. You are doing fine. Just make sure that every couple weeks try out the savory foods. Make sure you try them out every couple of weeks. If one week they don't like it, try again in two weeks. Infant mouths are still very temperture sensitive. Be cold or room temp is fine. Just slowly try to get it warmer as they get older.
As for lumpy foods, you might just have to try and try again. He just might be too lazy to chew and want the instant gratification of getting his belly full or he does not have the chewing down. Make sure his finger food are small enough. Some times they are too big to chew.

Well, if he likes the carrots and sweet potato cold, that is okay. He is still drinking plenty of milk, so he is getting his protein, does he like pablum at all? At 10 months, the majority of their nutriton is from milk, so solid foods are an added bonus. I am confident he will grow out of his picky eating habits in a month or two.

he eats all the baby jars that contain the fruits, yogurts, jelly. he will eat carrots or sweet potato but only cold he won't eat anything hot. i'm struggling what to feed him. i've tried all the savoury jars and tried cooking myself mashed potato, veg, spaghetti, mince and he's just not interested
