Whats' the going rate for a babysitter these days? My son is 14mths and we've only used family as babysitters up until this point. I remeber when I was a babysitter back in the day I made a whole $10 a day...any suggestions what I should pay the sitter? I know way more than 10 bucks!!

Another mom asked this awhile back. It seems to depend on where you live. Our babysitter gets $10 an hour. She gets extra if we're late or if it's night time and we ask her to stay past her curfew.

I don't know where you live, but i live in small town, MN. I had my niecs babysit a few months back, I gave 2.00 an hour, but they didn't have to do much. They both seemed very happy with it.
