I have tried everything including hydrogen peroxide and ammonia which get most things out, but no success. I just have a draw full of stained clothes(my boy loves banana and it grows here so is always available)! Bibs for tiny tots, old pre-stained shirts might help if you put them over the clothes, and if it is warm enough(I understand other parts of the world can get rather chilly) just take the shirt off and send them outside with the banana.

Indeed good luck - my understanding is banana stains do not come off, no matter what you do.

i read an article yesterday in american baby december issue titled laundry savers. this might work. it spoke about adding hydrogen peroxide to your laundry to get out yellow dinge colors from clothes. it read fill laundry, add detergent, 1 cup of hydrogen peroxide let it sit for 30 minutes the run through the cycle. also you might first wanna try to pre-treat first w/ hyrodgen peroxide on a q-tip to the area let sit for 15 minutes and then pour baking soda on top n let sit for 30 minutes. rinse then repeat. it did state make sure the hydrogen peroxide is no older than 6months it loses its bubbling action that will break down and loosen the stain. make sure that its not something that will bleed. peroxide is a milder form of bleach. good luck!!!
