Hi! I am trying to plan a birthday party for my almost 4 year old. she picked a castle cake which is fine but the party will be for boys and girls. I don't want to go totally princess on the poor little guys so and ideas for crafts, games, goodie bags that would fit with the castle theme? and not be super girly? we are planning to have the party outdoors at a local park. and it is for kids aged 2 1/2- 6.

do the princess them but have the boys dress up as knights with lil plastic swords that you can get at any dallor store they also have the chest armer there...hope i helped...

Not sure what month your daughter's B-Day is, but for my son's 3rd party (in July) I let all of the guests make their own ice cream sundae's complete with sprinkles, choc. whipped cream, and of course cherries....messy, but tons of fun!

First mistake - you let her pick the theme! (LOL!) Always beware what you might end up with! I agree with Lisa. Knights is great - just don't give them swords!

my 5 yr old, soon to be six, enjoyed her last party, and i got out semi cheap...we did a fair style party, sack races, cotton candy, face painting, etc....i have plenty of neices and nephews and try my best to make sure that the parties are gender friendly...
