Bottle,toilet training, bed - 4 questions

My daughter is 16months old - 1. How can i stop her from having so many bottles (still have around 3-4) a day or is that ok? 2. ideas on how to wein her from bottle to sippy cup (or should i leave it abit longer) 3. She has been in a toddler bed since 11months any ideas how to keep a blanket on as its getting chilly. 4. Toilet training ideas - she gets toilet paper off when she poos in her nappy, she knows where to wipe when we go to the toilet now just need ideas how to start please! =)

I would say start by offering her milk in sippy cups, you may need to try a few different kinds until you find one that she likes. If she has a bottle before bed let her keep that until you she is used to using the sippy cups during the day then get rid of the night time bottle and offer it in a cup too.

If she doesn't keep a blanket, get warm all in one p'j's so she doesn't get chilly.

As for toilet training look for signs she is ready, can she tell you when she needs to go? Are her nappies dry for a few hours at a time? Is she showing interest in other people going to the toilet? Can she understand simple instruction like "Go and get your shoes"? Can she pull her own pants up and down? It is rare for a little one to be ready at such a young age but if you feel she is then introduce the potty to her explain what it is for and get her to sit there at regular intervals and praise her even for just sitting. If she wees on the floor etc don't make a fuss just clean it up and remind her to try to do it in the potty next time. If after two weeks she is not consistently weeing in the potty she isn't ready and just forget it for a few months.
