I am on my second pregnancy, 32 weeks pregnant and I have braxton hicks contractions allllll day and night. probably about 3 times an hour, it has been going on for a month! Is this normal? Has anyone else had this? In my first pregnancy I barely got any of these.. Any ideas?

I'm currently 33 weeks and I get them all the time for the past 13 weeks! Happens mostly when iv been standing for a while then sitting down

Just like you I had braxton hicks for about the last 6 weeks of my pregnancy. My ob said it was common and not to worry I would know when the real deal started. On the upside of having the put up with the braxtons when I went for my checkup a few days before my due date I was already 3cm dialated as a result of the braxtons so when my labour did start for real the next day actually I was a little a ease knowing some of the work was already done!

I did when I was pregnant w/ twins... starting at 24 weeks up til I was induced at 37 weeks. I also had to be on bedrest for those 3 months though. 3 or less in an hour and you are 'probably' ok, but talk to your doctor anyway.

With my last pregnancy (3rd) I had brax and hix for the whole second half of my pregnancy, and they hurt. But even though tward the end I really hoped they were real, they were not :)

well i had pretty often contractions for like 2 months before giving birth. sometimes it would go on for 2 days in a nice rhythm like every 10 minutes. but there was nothing wrong according to my doctor. but you should talk to your midwife or doctor about it to make sure everything is all right.

I would mention this to the midwife on your next visit. Braxton Hicks should not be painful and if you are in pain this needs looking into sooner rather than later. It may just be the baby is lying on a nerve that is causing this.

What part of your pregnancy are you in? My sister had them for about a month before she finally went into labor with my neice. she actually though she was in labor they were so bad. Maybe talk to your practitioner to out your mind at ease.
