breast to bottle and back to breast........help!

i had to go on meds for a week and i couldnt breast as she would get sick...so i had to give her a bottle. Calli is almost 8 months old. Now i am done and have put her back to breast and i have noticed that my breast dont feel as full.......so is she getting enough and she really doesnt seem to be intrested she just puts the nipple in her mouth and lays there. Do i give it a couple days, i really hate the thought of being done with breastfeeding and switching to formula. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

The doctors told my friend to pump every 2 hours when she didn't get her milk in. I would suggest pumping more. She did get her milk in. Also there are teas and supplements that you can get that will assist in producing more milk. Pump when she's done eating. I did this when I was trying to get extra milk for when I would be away from her and would miss a feeding. then I ended up making more

Keep trying unless she gets to the point where she is absolutely hating it. She might need to relearn how to suck. THe more she nurses the more you'll produce. Of course, until your supply rebounds you'll have to feed her so don't stop formula at once. When she is eating her formula bottle try to pump to get your body ready to produce at that feeding again.

I am having the same problem with my little boy. The doctor wanted me to supplement with formula and now he does not want to nurse. I have been pumping like crazy and giving it to him in a bottle and it seems to be working well. I sure do miss nursing him though and keep trying. Pumping alot will also help build your milk supply back up.
