Has anyone used the bumbo seat in the bath tub? my daughter does like to sit and she always is standing in the bath and it usually takes two of us to bath her and her sister.......

i used the bumbo seat a few times in the tub, it worked fine. mine somehow stuck to the tub floor like a suckion cup( sorry if thats spelled worng) it helped me alot... i didnt know there were bath chairs or i would have prob bought one but i dont see the hurt as long as your right there.

DO NOT use the bumbo seat in the bathtub. Because it is made of the foam like material and is kinda hollow underneath it will try to float even with your baby inside. This could cause your baby to flip over in the tub and hit her head or get a mouthful of water. You can get bathseats at walmart or toys r us that have suction cup or rubber on the bottom that hold them securely to the floor of your tub.

I agree with Megan.

There is also reasons why there is warning all over the box that you can't put it in the bath. I personally wouldnt take the risk.

hahahah I just did this last night with my 6 month old...We also have a 3 year old, and she was taking a bath...I needed to bathe both girls, so I put the bumbo in the tub...it did float around and I had to hold her down at first. Then I got the bright idea of emptying some water out of the tub...it worked great! They had a blast...don't know if I can continue to use the bumbo in the tub (due to the material it's made out of) but once in awhile might be okay :) Have fun!!! OBVIOUSLY do not leave your child unattended while doing this....I'm going to go buy a bath seat...but it's possible :)

no, dont use it, it isnt' meant too be used that way. There are seats that you can buy, made for tubs. But don't use something, if it's not meant too be used in that manner. Best of luck

I am glad you guys are talkin' about this... I was just contemplating this idea tonight while bathin' my infant daughter. She's to the point where she wiggles all over the place in the infant tub, and not to the point where she sits by herself... and was thinkin' about her bumbo... although I didn't know about the material and how it would hold up in the water... guessin' I am going to invest in one of those bath seats...

I never thought about it floating away.....I dont like bath seats very much they are hard plastic and with a naked body I dont see how that could be comfortable....thanks though!
