my son is 9 months an standing up an tryin to crawl out of his crib an i was wondering should i go ahead an take off the bumper beacuse im afraid he`ll step up an fly out the crib one day

i was told by the health nurses in my area to never have bumper pads in the crib, because of suffocation, even when theyre newborn. but if you're worried that he might use them to stand up and get out of his crib, i'd take them out!

the general rule that I've always been told is that once your baby becomes mobile by scooting or crawling, you should then remove the bumper because they can get tangled up in it. I would definitely remove it if he is standing up in the crib. you should also move the matress to the lowest setting if you haven't done that already.

Bumpers should be removed as soon as a baby can roll over, as they can cause suffocation. I would take them out immediately.

I took out my sons bumpers around that age. He would use them to step up higher in his crib. We were scared that he'd fall out.

I think I heard that as soon as a baby could pull up, bumpers should be removed. Take it out.
