Recovery can take several months. Talk to your doctor if it becomes too bothersome. Continue to take it easy and avoid heavy lifting until you are feeling better. I can't remember the exact timeline, but I know it took me a long time before I felt "recovered." Even now (3 years later) I can't wear bikini cut underwear because the waistband bothers me where the nerves were cut.

the incision pain is normal, it is nerve pain. you may also notice some areas that are numb. it is because they cut nerves when they make an incision. Any other discomfort I would mention to your physician at your next a appointment or make a phone call.

I had a c section 4 years ago and it is still uncomfortable. Expect pain for the first year (at least for me). If my cat steps on my scar it hurts so very much! I just had a VBAC, and during every ultrasound it was painful.

I had a c-section almost eight weeks ago and my incision site is still sore every once and a while.... From every thing I have read and every time I have mentioned it to my dr. they say that it is normal.... If it worries you, when in doubt, call your dr.!!!! They can let you know if it may be serious or not!
