Can Vitamin D Milk Make My LO Sick?

I just started mixing whole milk with Calebs pediasure today. I gave him 3.5 oz's of pediasure and 1.6 oz's of regular milk. He had that two times and then about 2 hours later he started to vomit. I am not sure if it was because he has the whole milk and his body cant digest it or if it's a stomach bug. I talked to the nurse and she said there is a bug going around but he hasn't been outside and other than having a runny nose he hasn't had any symptoms of the flu. Has anyone ever had this happen to their toddler before when they started to introduce whole milk to them?

Caleb will be 15 months old on Feb 23rd. He does not have the stomach virus because today he had his gerber lil crunchies and had apple sauce and kept his gatorade down since last night and has continued to have it. I'm going to put him back on Pediasure. His dr said try him on the cows milk again. But i'm hearing that the whole milk is not all that good and they are injecting things in the cows. And soy milk has estrogen in it and causes bad hives. There is almond milk and 2 percent I can give but at this point I just want to make sure he is getting all the nutrients vitamins and things he needs to get healthy strong bones. I'm thinking about the rice milk that Gwen is talking about. I guess I hate experimenting with him. I feel that he's lactose intolerant or it could be cow’s milk protein intolerance. As long as the pediasure is good for him and wont make him really chubby i'm good with giving him that for now I suppose. I didn't have this issue with my oldest so I feel blind on what I should do :-(

I'd go back to 100% pediasure for a few days until you rule out the flu. Then gradually re-introduce the milk and see what happens. Yes, it is possible that your son could have a milk allergy or lactose intolerance. Cow's milk gave my daughter horrible constipation, so I switched her to fortified rice milk for over 2 years until she outgrew the problem.
