Yes It can happen one of my best friends had a baby that way her tubes were cut, tied, and burned after a year she got pregnant. They say the first two years you can still get pregnant I tried the Flishe clip option they do all the same things but have small clips that hold in place and is more effective than just the cutting and burning alone

YES!!!!!...You have to have it checked (via sonigram) now and then. I had mine tied, cut, burned 17 years ago. I just had my second daughter 18 years after the first.
Studies show that the chance of this is 2%. The body heals itself no matter what. Can be lots of complications involved. I suggest you wait the time that doc tells you, and have it checked. Good Luck

I have heard that if you have a c-section and get fixed during the c-section you have a greater risk of getting pregnant again then someone who went and got fixed after giving birth. Does anyone know if this is true?
That's what my OB told me. I made the enquiry when I was pregnant with my daughter, because we gave some thought to perhaps having it done if I had to have a caesarian for any reason. He told me that it is best to wait until at least 6 months after giving birth because the hormones that are in the system somehow promote the healing of the tubes (if you think about it, they are in our bodies to heal everything else after child birth, so I guess it makes sense). In the end, we decided we wouldn't go ahead with it either way, and hubby decided to have a vasectomy. It became a moot point anyway because I delivered naturally, but in answer to your question, that's what my doctor told me.
Let me tell you a story about my Aunt.....
After having 3 children her and her husband decided that was enough for them so he got the snip approx 6 months later she found out she was far into a pegnancy with baby no. 4 (believing it was impossible she had blamed her symptoms on something else) so they had baby no. 4 but decided like you that during the c-section she would get her tubes tied so it didn't happen again and low and behold not 4 months later she found herself pregnant with baby no.5!! So after deciding to stop at three and doing everything right to avoid it she is now the happy but tired mother of 5 lovley children.
Miracales happen all the time, you can never be certain...
My understanding is if they are clipped and tied then there is a very slim chance. If they are burned as well then it is almost impossible. I would direct any questions to your doctor because having someone tell you that your tubes could burst and you could die is not very good advice.
