I have an 08 trailblazer and can not find a Convertible Car Seat for my 4 month old. I want the safest one!!! I dont really care what the cost is (I cant put a cost on my sons life) I was looking at the Sunshine Kids Radian80SL Convertible Car Seat. Does anyone know anything about them? The reviews seem pretty good at a 5* raiting... And If anyone has one I want to know it it will fit in my suv. I had bought the Alpha Omega and it does NOT fit in my suv. Any Advice would be helpful :) Thanks!!!

I agree on the Britax comments. The friends I have that bought Britax said other than the cute carseat covers (cowprint, etc.) the Triumph was just as good. I know they have improved the harness tightening devices since mine were purchased too making it easier to adjust regardless of front or rear facing position. It reclines too... nice. :)

I have an Evenflo Triumph and love it. I used consumer reports to rate carseats, and bought the best one that I could afford.

Britax is a great carseat option. Although it's said that the Triumph advance is pretty much the same seat for more than half the cost. It has the same safety rating.

I just bought my daughter the Britax Boulevard CS. It is like the Bently of carseats. The company holds itself to higher standards, and crash tests the carseats at 60-80 mph vs 30-50 like the other carseats. My daughter is so comfortable in it, and she will be able to be rearfacing for a long time. We paid about $360.00 for it, but like you said... you can't put a price on your childs safety. It fits fine in our Subaru Outback, although it is pretty wide. Britax in general is a GREAT carseat. The brand really is above and beyond.

Yeah, the Triumph advance is great for 5 pt harness and it rearfaces up to 40 lbs and 50 for forward facing. I too like the fact that it's cozy and cushy. :)

We have used the Evenflo Triumph seats with both kids and they have been fine in small cars up to big Broncos. Heavy and bulky for travel - ugh - but great for every day use. I liked that they were cushy and comfortable. Thay had very good safety ratings and work for 5 lbs up to 40 lbs. (I think that's right). It has a 5 point harness and was fine forward and rear-facing. Good product and I researched all price points back in the day.

Thanks Ladys :) I have been using the Chicco Keyfit 30 But my son is 20lbs at 4 months and is getting to heavy for me to carry... lol.. I also want to keep him in a 5 point harness and rear facing for as long as possible. But I will look into the triumph adcance. Thanks again!

I've never heard of it. I have an Evenflo Triumph advance. I love it. I have a VW Jetta and it fits in it fine. They rate right up there with the rest of the best. I also love, love, love that you can adjust the straps with the knobs on the sides. That way you can easily loosen them to get your child out and then tighten them with the turn of a knob when you put them back it. It's worth looking into, trust me. :)
