my child just turned 1.. he crys when i leave him to go to the bathroom, take a shower gets his bottle anything if i leave his sight...when i go on a date which is not often i leave him with my mom an she says he cry for three hours straight..i am a stay at home mom an is with him every day ...help what do i do...i worry when i take him to child daycare he will be worse an he crys when other babys look at him lol

It is a stage they grow out of. My daughter used to be like that. What I did, was I would set aside an hour out of my daughter, have my parents babysit my daughter, and I'd go for a walk or something and leave her at home. Yes, she did cry for almost the whole time I was gone, but after about a week of me leaving for an hour, she finally got used to the fact that mommy is leaving but she will be back so there isn't anything to worry about. Don't worry, they grow out of it. Hope that helps

My son was like that.... and when I'd leave him for even 5 minutes... he'd be super restless and upset the WHOLE night. Leaving him at all wasn't worth it until he became more secure and started outgrowing it.

I believe its just a stage they go through around that age, they dont comprehend your coming back to them while out of their sight, just be patient its not for ever. best wishes Angie mother of 4.

And when I say leave him by himself at least once a day I mean for a short period of time, like when you take a shower, he needs to also nap by himself.

I know It must be a bit annoying but that kid loves you, you must be a good mom. :) You should make a point to leave him alone at least once a day, put him In a playpin to play by himself, he needs to learn to be a little more independent. I had the same problem when my son was a toddler, I couldn't even get him to sleep by himself. Let him cry, he'll be ok. :)
