I think the media has made parents paranoid. As long as you keep to safety rules like not sharing your address/phone number or meeting up with poeple then I don't see why your child would be in danger? I've chosen not to put up pics of my baby naked as I don't want to encourage the strange thoughts in some poeples minds but I won't avoid sharing the joy of my daughter with others because of someone else's perverted mind.
It's their problem not mine.
Good for sticking to your guns none-the-less.

That is why they have a privacy setting, so you can edit who can see your stuff :}

I only have basic information on my daughter up....like gender/age/birthdate for my FRIENDS to see here on FB. All pictures are generic like that only FRIENDS see here on as well seeing as it's one of the only ways to keep in touch with my daughter's cousins over seas.

The only time people can access your things are if you are friends with them, or if you click on links that are spam. The internet is not really that scary of a place if you know what you're doing.

Humm...something bad happen...I have been on fb abt 2 yrs and only MY FRIENDS see my pics odf my kids meaning only those i allow on my fb.

There are privacy settings on FB and on Circle of Moms which allow you to control who sees what information, pictures, posts, etc.
