Hi my Doughter is 4 years old and is always claming to be hungry at betime. She wil eat her dinner and will not go for another helping. I end up gettig in a fight with her befor bed. I know you can not winn every battle, If I give in dose that mean she is gatting her way? I am Stuk. I have given her food at bedtime and she sometimes will not eat it what I give her.

Either change the time of your dinner or offer her some cereal and milk half an hour before bedtime. Something like porridge or weetabix that can be eaten hot. Do not let her have sugary foods as this can cause her to be hyper rather than relaxed at bedtime. Sometimes kids are extra hungry as they have growth spurts and they need a little extra food. If you offer her half an hour before bed then you have taken control of the situation and not her. It is up to her to say yes I am hungry or no I am not.

My kids do that too. It's delay tactics.
We eat at around 5pm and bed is 7pm. Some days, especially my son, will quite easily have 2 servings of dinner, and finish it off with a sandwich, fruit and yoghurt.
If you think you daughter is hungry I don't see a problem with offering her a small snack before bed. Only you know whether your daughter is truly hungry or just using it to delay going to bed

maybe start offering a snack as the beginning of her bedtime routine. She gets a snack, then a couple stories, then it's time for teeth and jammies. If she doesn't want the snack then let her throw her fit at bedtime, she's obviously not hungry, just overtired. You might also try getting her to bed half an hour earlier if you think she's overtired.

she dose get a sippy cup of milk a night. and she drinks it as fast a she can.

OK... so I should just let her have her fit and leave her be? But she is so tired. and it is usaly wors after she has a a very bussy and exciting day. I do try to make her days not so buzy but family dinners and birthdays. its hard to do that.

If she isn't eating all of the snacks that she asks for, she's probably just playing you to let her stay up later.

My children usaly go to bed after dinner We eat at 5 - 5:30 then bed at 7.

Try offering her a snack 30 minutes before bedtime. If she says no, she doesn't get to eat at bedtime.
