any easy recipes for kid friendly Christmas cookies? I want them to help mix and decorate.

I just did the Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix with my 3 year old today. It was great b/c we used the electric mixer together (hand over hand) which he loved! He had his own ball of dough to work with and taste and cut and Dad and I cut the ones we were going to be able to eat later ;) and he decorated those. It worked out really well- we had a great time.

I use a bucket of sugar cookie dough, then let my 2 year old cut and do sprinkles.

Even though they don't get to mix, I do a gingerbread and give them all the topping choices they'd like (within reason to cookie suitable). We go through all my cutters and they pick their 5 favourites - so this year we have lobsters, trains, airplanes, bells, rocket ships, etc. I do set a limit on how many items they can decorate each cookie with but that is only because the first time... the cookies wouldn't hold together completely coated in m&m's.
