Definetly a house party...CEC is way to much excitement for 1 year olds and they are going to end up getting tired and crabby way sooner than you want them to and then the party isn't going to be much fun for them or you.

Definately a house party.  One year olds are too young to enjoy Chuck E Cheese.  That may be really fun when they're about 5 or so.

I hope they have a wonderful birthday!

i would do a house party esp if family is going to be there to enjoy the day with you. We did a house party for the first birthday and CEC for the second. If i were to do it over i would wait for CEC till the 3rd or 4th bday.

Home party for sure, with One year olds, I find it is best to keep it low key, dont want too much stimulation..... Invite everyone to your house, do dinner or lunch, presents and cake, let the kids just play! I just had my sons 1st birthday and it went off great, we have kids from 1 to 9 and I thought maybe I needed an activity for the older kids but they were happy to just play

House party, definitely. There is more than enough time for all that, but not much time when they're so small and precious.

That's actually where we had our son's first bday party. Ours has a designated little kids area where he played and the older kids had fun with the arcade games. It was pretty nice.

I would suggest an at home party for thier first. Chuck e Cheese is, in my own personal opinion, very OVER stimulating. My older kids love it but when they were smaller it was a bit too much.

Happy 1st Birthday!!

our chuck e cheese is always too busy for bday parties! you can't keep up with the kids, they don't want to do anything but play. we had a house party for our twins 1st bday and had a house full! we will probably do something a lot more low key for our daughter's 1st, it's just crazy, they won't even remember how big their 1st, 2nd or 3rd bdays for sure, just make it easy on yourself!

I would say go with a house-party. You want the attention to be on your little ones instead of all the craziness surrounding them at Chuck E. Cheese's. Plus, those places are total germ fests, so it's best to keep the babies away until they're a little older.

House party for sure! I think Chuckie Cheese is too mature for 1 year old in terms of activities and the level of stimulation. Wish you well!

House party. You will be so afraid that they will get lost at CEC's that you won't be able to enjoy yourself.

HOUSE PARTY!!!!!

Save your sanity, save your money, and save a headache.  Wait awhile, and do Chucky cheese when  they are older.  Or, you could do Chuck E. Cheese with your spouse, and take the girls for some family time, and do a home party.  The best of both.

Good luck, and happy birthday

I'd definitely do a house party.  Keep in mind, the children at your party won't be the only ones there if you go to CEC.

I think it depends on the age of kids you're inviting.  If they're all older, I'm sure they would enjoy Chuck E Cheese.  But if all the guests are the same age as your cuties, I would stick with a party at the house.  Have fun!!
