Why is there a huge space when you quote another poster?

Has anyone else noticed when you go back to edit a posting, that there are multipe (I know, I'm a dunce at code) < b >'s and such....that if you don't delete them each paragraph in your post ends up further and further spaced out?

Can these things be cleared up? It would help with readability, and also if we could actually go to a page 2 of a conversation post, rather than click to the first page, wait for a long page to load, and then go to the second page from the first, etc.

Sorry, I didn't know where technical problems should go!

OK, I did the whole upgrade to internet explorer 8, and I still see the < br > all over the place when I go to edit...I guess I'm just doomed to have it.

Quoting Lisa:

Hmmm...I just bought my lap top last month. But I haven't upgraded internet explorer. Could that be it?

That's what it was with the one I was using - it was just TOO old at the time for me to even attempt to upgrade. (My comp crashed and my friend loaned me a laptop {circa 2001 model} while I was waiting for my new comp to arrive) You might want to  try  www.windowsupdate.com to see if you might find anything there...it'll check the computer itself and recommend updates if you need them.

The bunch of < b > 's and all that are just the coding that quotes and blocks the previous comment.

(maybe you need to upgrade your computer? I know it was showing me the same things when I was on an OLD loaner comp a few days back)

As for the page thing - if you look at the main page forum (topic) listing, after the last person that posted / commented, you'll see under their name what looks like a white square with a green arrow in it - if you click that it'll take you to the latest / newest / last post on the topic.

Hope that helps!
