My son is 2 months old and I'm wanting to put him into cloth diapers. I'm tired of all the trash that accumulates with regular diapers. There are different brands and I was wondering which one is best? Any suggestions?

All the trash that accumulates with disposable diapers does leave a pretty big carbon foot print, but think of all the laundry you'll do with cloth!! You'll never get a break!

We've used the Motherease diapers as well. (they were passed on to us by my sister) They work great, no leaks like someone else said unless the outside cover is not fully covering the diaper. But they are very bulky and you have to rub/rinse them. We ended up being introduced to the Bum Genius cloth diapers and they are awesome! You can choose either the One Size which are super easy --- works like a disposable but the only difference is you wash them and reuse them!! (you buy them in XS, S, M, L -- we started with S. Or there are the one size which we ended up getting as well. There are snaps that you adjust as your baby gets bigger. They are a bit bulkier than the all in one but less than the motherease as you have a liner that inserts into the diaper. But they work great and are faster to dry. My hubby loves them as well. You just take them off baby, put in the diaper pail and when there are enough to wash, throw them in the washing machine and either dry them on a clothing rack or throw in the dryer if you need them faster.

Good luck!

we went with bum genuis too - no one complains about changing our baby's diaper with these really easy to use diapers, including his day care. That was important to us, that we'd find a good diaper that his child care providers would find easy to use as well. Plus they are easy to wash and they always come out clean and not smelly at all.

I think it depends on what you are looking to spend. A prefold diaper and rubber pants work better than a lot of the more expensive options, and cost pennies on the dollar. We use prefolds and some Motherease cloth diapers that we got from a friend that decided not to go the cloth diaper route. The motherease diapers are pretty bulky, but they also don't leak unless you are really pushing it. And wool diaper covers are awesome! (Trust me on this one.)
We tried an all in one diaper, but we found that it leaked the moment it was wet. Definitely not worth it for us. Hope this was helpful. There is also a cloth diapering group on here if you're interested.

Bambino Mio, no question about it! They do take some getting used to and can be a bit leaky for breastfed babies at the start but once you learn how to fold them they are brilliant. You can buy a birth to potty pack from their website for £200 which gives you almost all you need - 40 nappies in total - and I got some extra covers free from my local council which was brilliant. It's so good to be able to change your little one as often as you like without feeling guilty about the cost to your wallet (and to the environment, of course!). No nappy rash, no night time leakage, no fuss, I can't recommend them enough! I still use disposables when I am traveling though - the cloth ones do take up a lot of space.

Think I've wiffled on long enough.

I don't work for Mio, by the way, I just like them very much! I've used them for 3 months now.

nickisdiapers.com has quite a few to choose from. They also have a one size adjustable cover that might go good with the diapers Debbie mentioned.

depends on what you are looking for. Are you looking into a cloth diaper that has the convenience of a disposable? They are called All-In-One diapers. I'm not sure how much you know about cloth diapers, so I don't want to sould like I'm talking down to you if you know what i mean? Everyone has their preferences. I went with Baby Bee Hinds bamboo one-size. They fit from 8 pounds up to 35 pounds. They are super absorbent and soft. They DO need a PUL cover though.
