My son recently developed colic at the age of three months, has anyone else experienced this?

Already been to the doctor, and it just seems that he is having issues digesting his formula, strange that it started now at three months. I am using gripe water and ovol drops when necessary, seems to be working so far.

That is true because my cousin thought her daughter had colic but it actually turned out to be thrush. Maybe see the doctor.

Has he been officially diagnosed with colic by a doctor? From my understanding, it would be unusual for colic to begin so late. My daughter had it and hers started at a week old. I would get him checked at the doctor if you haven't already. It could be reflux or some other GI issue.

Yes I do believe he was around 3 months. We also gave him Enfamil. You can try using the Enfamil Gentlease (purple can). It's the same price as the regular Enfamil and it will probably help with the gas.

If all that doesn't help then switch to Nutramigen. It's more expensive though and if you see your baby's doctor they'll probably give you a few free cans. My son's doctor gave us a few because we were not on WIC (not sure if you know what that is but it's basically government assistance for mother's here in Cali). Good luck, I know how horrible colic can be.

Hi Josie, did your son develop it at 3 months or earlier? My son is formula fed, enfamil a+, he was only breastfed for a week or so. He never had any issues with the formula but developed colic recently. I am using gripe water and ovol drops and they seem to be working. :) I also heard about BIO GAIA, i will try this next if what i am currently using doesn't work out.

Yes my son had it bad. You can try those gas drops called Milacon (not sure on the spelling). If that doesn't work you'll probably need special formula. My son needed it, it's more expensive than regular formula. If you're breastfeeding then I'm not sure what to tell you.
