confused what is happening with my body....advice welcome

just an update.....
last period never came.
period is due tomorrow. i usually have severe cramps and head aches the day before and have had none of that.
i am so confused right now and starting to worry my body is not working quite how it should. i am going to wait till monday if i dont come on i shall then do another pregnancy test. if this comes back neg i will be back to the docs.....
any suggestions?

hi hon, still no period. neg test 2 weeks ago. had blood test at docs, that came back negative too. just waiting to see if i come on next week. if not then back to docs for further testing. im guessing the blood test is 100% accurate?

hi heather, still no period , neg tests 2 weeks ago. docs did blood test 2 weeks ago but came back negative so just playing the waiting game now to see if i come on my period next week. if not back to docs for further tests as to whats going on. i am totally baffled by it all and very very confused

I would wait until your period was actually due. If it doesn't happen, try a pregnancy test. If the test is negative, wait a few more days or a week. Sometimes those tests don't always work right away since they depend on a hormone in your body to be there. If after that week if the pregnancy test is still negative and you still haven't started your period, it would probably be a good idea to go to the doctor. But unless your periods have been irregular in the past, if you don't have one when you are suppose to, there is a good chance you are pregnant.

also sorry to sound thick does this mean if i dont come on again when i was originally due i should take a test or should i class what i had as my period? x

very helpful thank you heather. i hope it happens for you soon. i always thought spotting was tiny amount of spots.....what i have had was a very light period but for 1 and half days instead of approx 5. really trying not to get my hopes up either. but am interested in others experiences with this. thank you so much x

There is a good chance it could be implantation bleeding, also called spotting. It's when the egg attaches to the side of your uterus and causes some of the blood build up to release. If you take a pregnancy test after the time your normal period is suppose to start and you're not pregnant, it could be small tears in the skin caused from the friction of sex. My partner and I are going through the same thing and I have had whole days of light bleeding and thought I was pregnant, only to not be. My doctor said the blood was cause from friction inside the vagina irritating my fibroid's and causing them to bleed. She said it was normal for women my age, 35, trying to have another child.
