I am 31 and have 3 children. I had my tubes tied not cut or burnt. I have had 1 period in the last 4 months. I have taken several home tests and they have been all neg. except for one and it was a faint blue line. Is it possible that I could be pregnant?

I have had a Tubal done back in 1993 and havent been able to get pregnant and my periods are strange sometimes I wont have a period for a month then I will have a period 2 times in a month makes me want to pull out my hair and scream. But glad you have asked this question about Tubal's cause I have been wondering about it myself.

Yes..I have several friends who have gotten pregnant after having their tubes tied. If you are def. sure that you don't want kids you should always get them tied, cut AND burned.

Do you have planned parenthood in your area? I think preg tests there are free. good luck.

Possible, yep. Definitely see the doc. Scary story, but my mother who just turned 58, is in pre-menopause, had her tubes tied 30 years ago just had a miscarriage. Sooo, needless to say anything is possible but to be safe I'd see the doc.

Yes it is very possible. My aunt had her tubal ligation 18 years ago and now has a 5 year old son. Go see your doctor.

Definitely a possibility. Had mine tied back in '91 and got pregnant 3 and 5 years later. Lost them both to miscarriage. Our bodies are wonderful, they try to fix anything wrong, and tubes being tied is not normal to our bodies. See your doctor soon.

I had a positive pregnancy test after my tubes had been tied for a couple of years. It turned out to be wrong. I went to the Doctor, she did an ultra-sound to make sure. She said her biggest concern was that it was a tubal pregnancy which can be dangerous. Consult your Doc, better safe than sorry.

i know i'm young and i might not know all that much, but i have a friend that has had 3 kids since she's had hers tied, and another that just recently had a baby a couple of months ago that had hers cut && burnt, and tied tubes are supposed to be less effective, i think...but yeah, from that experience, i do believe it's a possibility, but like i said, i'm just going by what my friends have went through, so maybe you should ask your doctor? good luck && i hope it all works out for the best for your situation.

Someone recently told me that after the first 5 years the the effectiveness of the tubal decreases 5% every year after. Now, I don't know how accurate that info is, but I had my tubes tied 5 years ago and I haven't had regular cycles in the last 2 years. It's not uncommon for me to go 3-4 months without one actually. Hope this helps.
