So our second monitor has conked out, and we're looking for a new one.
Before I go spend more cash again, I'd like to hear from moms out there on what has or hasn't worked for them.

The best investment I made when my son was born almost 2 years ago was the Summer Infant video monitor with the 2.5" screen. I'm still using it and bought a second camera for my second baby who is coming on March 26th. It allows us to see what's he's doing without always checking on him and potentially waking him. It still holds a charge after being used for 2 years straight!

monitors with audio and video are awsome, but be prepared to spend some money on a really nice one. but i strongly suggest that you take into consideration the size of your screen. i had audio and video, but if you have option for video mst likely you are going to want to use that through out the entire night. which means you'll have this screen illuminating your entire room, and your so you sleep is still interupted.

hi there heather, i have a safety 1st monitor and it works great - i get no static from it and i can hear every move my son makes. i had an older monitor a couple years ago and it used to pick up my neighbors cordless phone calls, this one does not do that. it's one of the cheaper ones to, i think i only paid $35 for it.
