My 4-months old boy is crying every hour just to change his sleeping position. Every hour, he just need to change his position and while doing that he always cry for doing it. What is the matter with him? He seem like not sleeping through the night. I feel sad seeing him can't really enjoy his sleep. Something is bothering him. What? Why? Please help.

Even if you have never swaddled him before, you might try it now. I found that my daughter's movements in the night, flailing arms and legs were enough to wake her up but if she was swaddled, she slept peacefully. My sister swaddled her son until he was seven months old for the same reason. She just used bigger and bigger blankets. Hope this helps.

First thing that comes to mind - broken collar bone, shoulder, or rib.
A friend of a friend had a baby whose shoulder/collar bone was broken at birth but it was never diagnosed. Everyone told her she had a colicky baby, eventually he quit crying but cried while sleeping - the badly healed bone hurt when pressure was on it.
It had to be rebroken and fixed.

Does he sleep better when you're holding him or in other circumstances (our son used to nap in his swing at that age, as an example of "other cirucmstances"). Does he have acid reflux (GERD)?
