Well, my 2.5-year-old is almost 8 now LOL, but I checked my book and it looks like she was about 22 lb at that age. She's not a large child -- she was 6 lb at birth and now weighs around 40 lb.

my son will be 3 in may and he weighs 20 lbs. he's very small for his age, but he eats normally. if your son eats and isn't loosing weight, no worries! kids are very weird eaters. my oldest boy can eat us out of house and home, but only after 7 pm. before that he barely touches a thing, my middle boy eats constantly, and i mean constantly, and is considered small for his age (he's 5 and weighs 38 lbs.), and my youngest, will have days where he'll eat everything in sight and then other days where he won't eat much more than a jellybean. you just kindof have to find out what is normal for them.

My son won't technically be 2.5 til the end of September, but he's right around 26 pounds. He was in the 25th percentile at his 2 year check up.

My kids are older now but honestly don't worry, if they are hungry they will eat. Just wait till they have a growth spurt they will eat you out of house and home!. My son was always under the scale because he was always running around but now that he is older hes growing into it and he eats EVERYTHING!

in my opinion children will eat when they are hungry or ready. you could try to give him some higher calorie in take foods. or maybe more protein. usually they should be going into some eating streaks. worry when they just don't have any energy.

my little girl is just over 3 years and weighs about 12 kg if you know what converts to in pounds and stones, she was born only 2.3 kg, dont think she has put on any weight for the last 1-2 years, just height...somedays she eats really well, some days really refuses most food, but always eager to drink milk or juice or joghurt...i dont think she is too skinny or too fat or too short or too tall, she has a cute tummy and always energetic..

Do you know what that converts to in pounds?
My children at 2 1/2 were between 23 - 28 pounds. (5 of them)
