My daughter is 5 months old and sometimes when shes in her bouncy chair it looks like her right foot curves over so shes bouncing on the top of her foot. I've asked her doctor everytime we've gone in if there was something and she says no. Now my older brother had both of his feet curved and had to wear a cast on both legs. Could it just be something that runs in the family? Should i pressure my doctor into getting x-rays?

My girl was similar at that age and she is walking up a storm now, and it seems her foot corrected itself as she got older. However, if you are not comfortable, then definately ask for x-rays even just for peace of mind, but it seems that you have good reason to because of your brother. Good Luck!

I would take her to a foot specialist. My oldest is having trouble with her foot now that she is 5 and that all started with her doctor saying not to worry about it. My baby is now 18 months and had to wear braces on her feet to straighten them out and now she is doing great and her feet are straight. I wouldn't listen to her doctor but take her to a specialist. I wish that someone would have told me about this before my 5 year old's foot got set and troublesome for her.

Back in the 60's & 70's doctors probably over prescribed leg braces and corrective casts. In the 80's Corrective casts were still being used widely and some times unneccesarily.

Babies aren't very coordinated. Sometimes they manage to twist their feet underwise. Mine did it. Unless she doesn't grow out of the feet twisting underneath her.
